This map is such a nightmare, but mechanized makes it a little less painful. |
With LMGs, they're obersoldaten. With thompsons, they're shock troops. At vet zero, they are weaker than their counterparts. At vet 3, they're way stronger than their counterparts.
So you'll have to babysit them a little bit while they build up vet, and after that you can use them as the elite infantry they really are.
Also, when playing with Juliet, he goes mechanized and gives me an M3. Thompson paratroopers inside an M3 is devastating. |
They're working on getting the parser fixed, for now it's mostly working but player names and replay length seem to be broken. |

Signal Relay: Agreed, awesome ability.
Repairs: Agreed, totally useless. You can repair just by driving back to your mechanized HQ, so unless you're using a strategy that doesn't build one for some reason, it's pointless and overpriced.
HEAT Shells: Horrible ability. The slower shells are more likely to cost you an engagement than win it.
Panzer Commander: I've never tried it.
P4 Call-in: Huge disappointment. My fuel is better spent on a KT. |
Elite Riflemen:
The current changes are great. I don't think changing them any further is necessary.
Soviet Weapon Teams:
A successful flank with sturmpios already wrecks a maxim no problem. Reducing squad size to four could make it impossible to retreat in time. You need to find a way to make it more vulnerable to indirect fire and snipers (which are still useless) without making it any more vulnerable to assault troops... somehow...
Long Range Combat:
Not all short range units are suffering as a result. Sturmpioneers and shock troops are just right for the point they arrive on the field. Panzergrenadiers and any US troops with thompsons are weak. I would say reduce M1919 damage a little bit, but obersoldaten and upgraded grenadiers are fine. |

This unit is still too strong. I'd reduce its health or armor a little bit. Currently I can drive it into two volks squads in cover without a care in the world. |
