USF light vehicles are useless when your opponent has readily available fausts on all his infantry. The only light vehicle that's somewhat viable is the Stuart as long as you're not facing a Wehrmacht player which will one shot your Stuart with two Panzergren schrek sqauds.
M20 is laughable, you might as well flush it's excessive 320 MP and 20 fuel cost down the toilet than buy this. Gets blown up easily by any axis light vehicle and dies to machine guns pretty quick.
AAHT is just awkward and a pain in the but to use.
The faction is pretty much a total joke as it is so you're going to be at a significant disadvantage at any stage of the game. Pleasing the RNG gods is vital to winning with USF. Bottom line playing as USF is like boxing with one arm tied behind your back.
You have to build only rifles at the start, that is the ONLY thing you can do whether its 1v1 or 4v4. Due to the this faction's extremely poor design this makes USF very predictable and easy to counter by the superior Axis factions. USF is at a disadvantage at every point vs its Axis opponents must mostly at the start of the game due to the high cost and relatively poor preformance of Riflemen against Axis infantry. Rear Echeleons preform even worse and have a high cost for their usefulness. These are not effective combat units and they have a rather strange volleyfire ability which costs 15 munitions and gets them killed faster. I believe this ability exists in the event you have excess manpower and need to qiickly get your REs killed to free up pop to allow the purchase other more useful units but that's a late game need so I'm sure why the ability is instantly available.
Its so nice! I get better infantry and MGs and they're cheaper with no side techs AND they're available sooner! Whenever I want to play a nice realxing game it's nice to thump USF since I know I get better units for less while that poor sap has to spam crap Riflemen because he can't do anything else.
As a hamstrung meme yeah. No flamethrower, no genades unless you want your Sherman to roll out around the same time a Panther does. Nerfed MGs, a joke of a tech tree.
...keeps you from being bored of winning since 90% of your OKW troops have or can be upgraded with automatic weapons and you don't pay for any annoying side teching or retreating back to base to get upgrades and the devs were nice enough to nerf all allied MGs so you can just blob away...???
OKW meta: Just blob your superior yet cheaper infantry, balance team was nice enough to nerf all Allied MGs just for you little Wehraboo so your blobs will be nearly unstoppable. Thus is OKW, the most brain dead easy faction in the game.
