I had a game vs jibber recently where his own sector arty tried to evaporates a mortar flare and destroyed more of his own stuff than mine in the progress Yeah stuff like that should be fixed. If you lack the ability to see the flare or are to lazy to move your units its on you. This is just endless ranting vs soviets, if they have anything that works that other factions dont do better its a big no no you cant have that. Its one of the few things when vs soviets you need to take into account. That and heavy doctrine depancy, the nerfed zis barrage in absence of nades, nerfed t70, nerfed ram. And now soon to be nerfed flares and su85 focused sight/tracking. But then again whats one more nerf, soviets cant be nerfed enough apperantly. In: COH2 Balance

If you lower the squad size you risk being looped to death even more. It's just a best case scenario. Without the ability I think the maxims biggest issue is the arc, not the suppression. I think it takes long enough to suppress but also allows squads to flank it easier. Again though I don't think it could be buffed without the risk of creating maxim spam, at least not enough to notice. It's more the issue for OKW since maxims come from minute 1 and the ISG only arrives at minute 5ish. No sniper, ISG only nondoc with smoke etc. OKWs opening is alwawys the same since they only spam infantry. I think its mobility could be buffed striaght up or via vet (wich is probably) better. This can counteract the small arc, low supression, deathloop, muni for bulleys, inflated price. In: COH2 Gameplay

I doesnt cost much but it still isent free to get t2. Unless the word free changed its meaning. Or is ost t1 free as wel? The .50 is also more expensive then the mg42 so that is the reason it is. MG-42 being unparalleled is nothing but a myth nowadays. Every other faction have their options to face the Panzergrenadier and the role of infantry being that split is unique to OST. (Which is good no complaints here) Ober is not an OST unit you know. British infantry sections were problematic because they could go bolster super early (0.5-1 CP timing) and smash your infantry very early on with alpha strikes. I think you guys are really not understanding the difference between the impacts of a minute 1 alpha strike and an alpha strike at 25 minutes. Compared to the maxim the mg42 is unparralleld. Soviet and usf need to tech towards it unlike ost okw and brits. Pgrens are quite a powerfull ai squad, for the vsl to compete with them in dps terms with more hp will make vsl snowball and push pgrens out of use as we saw before. As vsl are cheaper and have more staying power and come quite early. I was talking about axis in general, i know where obers belong. But they are besides the point actualy shoudnt have brought them up. I understand perfectly how strong early upgrade alpha damage are. Hence i am in full agrement 7th man comes so late. My suggestion with sections is to ty to them to hammer and anvil, the late game as it makes current sections snowball. I said that before but forgot to mention it this time. In: COH2 Balance

THATS dev team for, but they make only buffing allies and making axis worser and worser every useless patch ! They just made axis need to put in the same effort in 3s and 4s that all, and its a good thing. Those modes where axis dominated for by far most of the games excistance. Auto win unless you royaly screw up for axis in 3s and 4s is a thing of the past. In: Lobby

That's the thing that got deliberately removed off of more expensive tommies isn't it? I'm 160% sure it is. The value of the 5 man is taking your squishy 4 man squad and making is 25% more durable. That is the primary function. If you want firepower to ou take the lmh42 as it's primary function is to offset the squishy. Both upgrades have their uses and neither outright replaces the other this is an example of a good upgrade. 100% correct. The value for vsl is and should be durability and field presence not brute forcing at every range vs more expensive inf who dont have pgrens or obers and good mg's backing them up. Now just tommies need a simaler aproach. Go bolster and takes 1 weapon slot or stay 4 men with two slots. Updated the post. In: COH2 Balance
