Rifle smoke was only a soft counter to mg spam but just becomes cheesy quick.
I think riflemen deserve a manpower discount for losing their smoke though, or give the current upgrade free. |
Get the concrete house on the side closer to you, and wire the door of it facing the enemy. The wooden fuel house can get cleared much more easily by a mortar or even just grenades because its a wooden house. |
Agree on both counts, but I think if s-mines nerfed then fortifications doctrine need something buffed in return as its almost the main draw of that doctrine. |
honestly think they should be more aggressive about adding new maps, but temporarily giving more vetoes each time so players can "opt in/opt out" of the new maps as testing
especially for 3v3 4v4 where balance is non existent anyways, should be bolder with adding maps |
I wouldn't buy any USF/OKW/BRIT commanders, the drop rates for these factions are really good since theres relatively less bulletins and skins, I got pretty much all of them through drops just playing. |
What do you guys like to do? Get Scotts? Get multiple mortars? Get Multiple pack howies? Mortar halftrack?
Played against a guy on vilshanka today with 4 mg 34s and 3 raketens, and some isg today, I won by a large margin due to good vp pressure but it was a real cancer game to play. I got two scotts, which worked better to kite and wipe his infantry blob than hurt his mgs due to risk of raketens and shorter attack range, so ended with quite a low efficiency rating. On other hand my mortar reached a whopping 900% by the end of the game.
I didn't want pack howie due to having the scotts already, but it made me think.
What sort of artillery would you guys have gotten? microing 2 mortars to focus fire mgs, get some pack howies and afk/barrage them? |
So I've been playing a bit of group games with my friends lately, and its obvious to me how much worse 3v3 and 4v4 are in large part because of maps. Aside from too much red ball express (its a fine map in 3v3 dont get me wrong but its way overplayed) and then I just realised how much better 1v1 and 2v2 are simply because there's much better maps available, and also fresh maps that are quality from the recent patches. (Fields of winnekekonk and that one with a lot of greencover debris gets a shout out)
Clearly relic is not making these maps, but rather our awesome map makers, and you realise while balance has been important, good maps are also essential to a quality coh experience.
I think more appreciation ought to be shown to our map makers, and maybe they can list their patreons etc so people might be able to show appreciation for their efforts that we all enjoy. |
There's a lot of talk about how to balance US with how poorly its done in GCS
However, there's definitely seems to be a reluctance to give them AT gun in lieutenant tier, which honestly would be boring af because its one of the factions major asymmetries.
Giving USF mines would go a long way to fixing this problem, as bazookas a lone on rear echelon is simply just too dependant on bad play from the other player/ or suitable map that its not reliable in itself. For a faction that is extremely reliant of flanking, unmitgated light vehicle play can shut USF down in its tracks with minimal effort. The lack of mines also means much better risk reward benefit of light vehicle base diving for wipes/ ambulance.
Its about time USF gets real mines, for a muni starved faction like USF, mines would also be a healthy trade off against getting more BAR's and allow a well set up trap with bazookas to be actually effective (even the fear of mines would reduce the low risk base diving that people face vs USF at the moment)

I'm not the greatest player but I'm ok and generally rank 500 ish in every faction, and this really isn't about me the GCS results speak for themselves.

I play and actually enjoy every faction in the game except maybe Soviets a little less, so no I don't fan boy USF. There's no reason to favor one faction over others with buffs, because you'll just end up with longer queue times.

This is disengenius expensive teller mines that 1 shot other vehicles locked behind a tech tier and also a vehicle like saying wehr pioneer shouldnt have mines because half track can use riegels.

So recently ive played quite a few games where opponent really all in blobs with sturm officer for aura and mark target volks for dps and panzerfusiliers for vision
This incredibly obnoxious playstyle thats low apm turns out to be incredibly effective for how low effort it is. While i won the games due to the nature of 1v1, it took considerable more effort than it took him. On other hand outcome could have been drastically different if he death blobbed more “strategically” i lag a bitmore or whatever
Ive been wondering wat is the most low effort counter? Ive been playing this strat myself in group games its very effective due to not needing to cap.
Please dont say spam mg because thr blob will deathloop mg before it suppresses. Certainly so with mark target. Also dont assume enemy has no tanks to contest your own.
