Thread: [Winter Balance Update] OST Feedback6 Jan 2021, 17:08 PM I'm supprised no one here has mentioned the STUG III ASSAULT GUN . It is in a horrible spot and a good runner to be the most useless unit in the game. I think it's best to make the stug 3 similar in role to the m8 motor carriage that relies on long range focused bombardment. Also : The panther does not need a static accuracy buff it needs more than anything a MOVING accuracy buff. It's entire role relies on chasing down other tanks as It doesn't have the range or the sight. In: COH2 Balance

Nerf armor to 220 (so mediums have a chance to pen), nerf penetration, remove grenades. Give it better stats at lvl 2 and 3 so it scales better. Reduce fuel cost to smth like 160-165 and population. But I doubt such big changes will be made. I think toning down it's armor will be a good place to start with Comet. In: COH2 Balance

Most of all, it's necessary to be in that state. UKF would otherwise have no ways of going forward in the late game, as they lack rocket arty and agressive infantry that can push out of cover. I've never been a fan of end-all units with no weaknesses, as tehy hinder variety, but UKF simply has no other options and limiting or nerfing Comets would simply doom the faction in longer games. I disagree because Brits have a crazy amount of artillery options at stock with even 2 howitzers at base and their infantry out of cover can beat grenadiers reliably without the cover bonus . But back to the Comet it's just a very poorly designed Jack of all trades Master of everything unit that really has no place in this game . It just cannot be balanced unless the comet is given a weakness.. The Comet should be strong I agree but in it's current form there really is no other word to describe it but overpowered. Thread: [Winter Balance Update] UKF Feedback29 Dec 2020, 16:35 PM The Comet tank is flat out the most overpowered tank in the game . It needs more adjustment then a miniscule fuel increase. It can 1vs1 a panther, has smoke , white phosphorus so it can crowd control and take out at guns AND has excellent Ai power along with fantastic speed AND armor to boot. It simply has no weakness and this is terrible for balance. I suggest you remove some of the comets AT power so at least a panther can comfortably beat it. The unit needs a weakness like everything else in the game. In: COH2 Balance

Np, instead I can explain to you why micro is important in micro heavy tactical game and why microed units perform better then non microed units and how because of competitive nature of the game, units are balanced around them actually having a competent player in control if you want. Lets assume you have over 200 games or even a basic amount of play time which you DON'T. I will explain it to you very clearly , no unit in the game relies SOLELY on manual fire to do damage other than artillery. NOTHING .. Do not try to compare microing infantry, formation, tactics flanking etc.. to being able to do damage. No other unit in the game has such dreadful auto fire. I can easily dodge every single slow firing projectile the Brummbar fires. It's so simple to do. If you actually played the game you would actually know this. In: COH2 Balance

It's auto fire is awful putting it lightly... and will miss 80% of the time. For a turretless, slow firing and not to mention slow moving projectile this is a nightmare to use. It requires more micro than ANY other unit in the game and for no good reason. In: COH2 Balance

Yes this would make sense. I always found it utterly bizzare that the Brummbar hasn't been touched aside from adding a muntions cost of all things when the core unit doesn't function very well without manually firing.
