bolster thing is good, IMO this should also be added to the rest of factions, also similar to 7 cons squad upgrade, brits after all require like a faction redesign, they lack like everything, no indirect fire (mortar pit sucks), no CCQ unit, no real legit light vehicle to counter infantry, tanks in overall are somewhat weak
M20 was coming on the field when literally nothing could counter it and thus, USF gained a huge map control by then, even if enemy managed to rush the 222 or luchs alike, the M20 has a lot of choices to survive, one of it is smoke, previosuly it was also a zook which im glad it was removed, not to mention that stuart can come in like 3 or maybe 4 minutes later? so why bitching about this nerf, let's find out how it works first
got 2x main gun crit on KT's that probably costed me a game, apart from that, what the hell is wrong with USF? why everything they have now seems OP? pack howies were nerfed? havent noticed that, Scott also was nerfed? too bad it rekts the same way they used to, this doctrinal bombs drops what the fuck is this? it lands like in 4 seconds, raketens are also shit now, without camo, and their gun not providing green cover it gets killed instantly, fuck this game
the only thing that OKW needs a nerf are falls, true that, apart from that i dont see any OP units there
not to mention the USF gain really quick access to M20, which just rekts OKW, and so you either go rush light veh which with good control you get it at 7th min mark or you go raketen, it's all about timing, M20 comes at around 4-5 min?
Recently i really struggle fighting USF rifles, even when my volks are in green cover and rifles are charging them i'm losing this battle, and even then, volks got their cost increased, i also tried going fussiliers but it's even worse, they are similar to volks, cant build sndbags, they might be good in late game but when you lose early game you've already lost it, USF playstyle now is like 90% going 3 rifles, LT, m20, that's the best combo against OKW nowadays, falls seems to counter them but they come too late against this.
My solution to this:
here's this chart showing pre and post patch, i'd reduce it to half, see what happens, i agree that pre patch rifles were kind of bad but now they overperform in every matter
Tommies must be good, maybe nerf them early game but boost them late game, why? bcs that's the only legit infantry unit that they have, not counting sappers as they're like a utility unit, look at other factions:
Ostheer: non-doctrinal: Grens, PG's, doctrinal - ostruppen, storms, jaegers, ass grens
OKW - non-doctrinal: volks, obers, (possibly sturms?), doctrinal - falls, fussilers, jaegers
soviets - non-doctrinal: cons, penals, doctrinal - guards, shocks, partisants(lol wut), DP guards and something else
USA - maybe bad example cuz they only have rifles, but they are very versatile unit and have a snare after all and can build up many things with proper doctrine, doctrinal - rangers, paras, ass engies, pathfinders and such.
While Brits only got Tommies and what else infantry units? commandos only? that's it? no wonder that Tommies must be good cuz it's only 1 unit, without a snare, needs upgrade to use grenades, cant build anything except sandbags and trenches, they are simple as that and that's the reason why i say they need buff for late game, and slight nerf for early game. Apart of that i'd give them some 2nd non doctrinal unit like SAS maybe or non doctrinal commandos which can get upgrades with the proper doctrine
i've been telling this for many months, US needs Panther a'lke tank and IMO the Jumbo is the best option, kind of less firepower but armour is still at Panthers level
