Then what will it do to Ostheer?! Ost never gets powercreep. Riflemen are very good vs grens so the solution is to nerf volks. I suggested nerfing the stg close and midrange dps but slight buff to max range. Increase the speed of volks. Now OKW players must keep their volks at max range at all times which is a bit easier due to slightly faster speed and rifles will be punished a bit less for closing the distance. Also a slightly faster speed will allow volks to flank more effectively since the Leig is subpar. The biggest advantage of Ostheer: not encounters OKW. The biggest disadvantage of Ostheer: encounters Soviet. :/ In: COH2 Balance

In general, Panther, a non-doctine unit, is very hard to respond with Shermans. You will agree that you need at least three Sherman to deal with one Panther. This does not mean that Panther is OP. anyway, Panther was designed like a TD class, and it is not a problem. However, Jackson is mostly paired with the M8A1, and except for this combination, Sherman or Pershing is the only tank left to the USF. Stug, P4, Panther, Tiger, Elephant and even Brumbar are not easy to deal effectively with Sherman alone without Jackson. This forces USF to choose Jackson. Sometimes people mention Bazooka and ATG, so in most cases, if you only use anti-tank with Zooks and ATG, you will be dragged into your enemy throughout the game. This is not just a matter of USF, but most factions. So most top players do not use these two units unless they are defensive. While one or two ATGs, Zooks (or Panzersherks) may be used for secondary support purposes, few top players are responsible for main ATs. In: COH2 Balance

It takes a few hits more. That's it. Allied TD pen is too high. It should have a chance to bounce, because it's not a panzer 4, it's a tiger. It's not 120 fuel, is 230. The counters shouldn't be the exact same with damn near the exact chance to pen. THAT'S the issue. Not that it has a counter, but that the counter invalidates it. Also usf tanks can heal themselves, a tank that can take a beating then pull back and heal itself would be broken beyond belief. You can't have it all. In most cases, TDs need sight assist to kite their range. Except in some special cases, most baseline infantry will be responsible for this task. If the Armor of the heavy tanks is too high, the TD can not retreat the heavy tank before the baseline infantry suffers a great deal of damage. If this is the case, then the axis can do frontline collapse very easily by dragging the Heavy-tanks to the frontline, hunting only the baseline infantry, retreating and repairing. This is a very big problem. This is because TD, the sole countermeasure, does not effectively deal with Heavy tanks. The penetrations of Allies TD are not excessive at all. The problem is that pushes the heavy-tank into allies TD, the only heavy-tank countermeasure for allies. No one complains that the MG is perfectly in front of a infantry squad. Even the 240 Manpower MG34 can easily pindown 400 Manpower Rangers. But this is because of counter relationship, not because MG34 is OP. In: COH2 Balance

Considering the situation where JP4 and Jackson are fighting, it's a pretty interesting calculation. The reload speeds of JP4 and Jackson are not so much different as to cause a difference in the number of rounds until one side is destroyed. So, ignore the reload speed and calculate the accuracy and penetration probability. JP4 target size: 1700% penalty JP4 armor: 230 front JP4 Accuracy: 6% / 4% Jackson target size: 2400% penalty Jackson armor: 130 front Jackson Accuracy: 5% / 3.5% Penetration ratio: JP4 -> M36 = 170/130 = 100% M36 -> JP4 = 220/230 = 95.6% Hit chance at maximum range: JP4 -> M36 = 4 * 24 = 96% M36 -> JP4 = 3.5 * 17 = 59.5% penetration chance (include hit chance) JP4 -> M36 = 96% M36 -> JP4 = 56.9% quite huge difference, uh? don't believe it? do some test in cheat mode. JP4 more accurate than Jackson(5%/3.5%) In: COH2 Balance

Their range and pen are enough to poke from distance and if needed can kite most tanks well, TD flanking is quite hard in this game. If it's easy, Panther can slaugter all allies tanks.(but, it's hard too although it has quite good armor, speed, self-defence anti-infantry weapons, blitz-krieg skills than allies TD) Jackson has really low armor and has no anti-infantry weapons, but quite expensive. This means that more defensive use is good instead of excessive flanking. (anyway, it's historical accuate :/) Most people do not flank it because they are not stupid, but because it not suitable for flank as we tought. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Tiger PzKpfw VI7 Feb 2019, 08:36 AM I think it would be better to raise the anti-tank spec slightly instead of lowering the tiger's anti-infantry spec slightly. Most tiger is very good when used as a vs infantry sniper cannon, but when it comes to vs tank, it feels like it can not play own role. I think that Tiger can show good evaluation enough with a little concept adjustment. In: COH2 Balance

And also they give volks the stg44 update. So actually, 2 volks squads with stg44 update had the fire power of one grenadier squad and one panzergrenadier. For me, I would rather see they change the price of volks to 270 or 280 MP to better reflect their multiple roles. +1 In: COH2 Balance
