So many hours in and didn't know that. Thanks! So bounces don't snare and snares hitting above 75% don't snare. Good to know. However, I do know that I manage to snare full HP Panzer 4s. A snare hit on P4 full health will snare it 80% of the time (the damage will leave it at 540 hp which is about 85% if I'm not wrong). Is there an explanation for that? In: COH2 Gameplay |

UKF This is the single most elitist BS I've seen in a while. You have the rank but that doesn't mean you know what you're talking about. The post is OK but please don't think that ranks give you power. I know a PhD chemist that tried to debunk me when I said that water is the liquid with the highest specific heat capacity (they were having a deep "philosophical/phenomenological" discussion on heat and other BS and were throwing some high-tech molecules around as potential candidates) and laughed in my face as to what a physicist is trying to lecture a PhD chemist on the chemistry. Of course, a quick google search revealed I was right. The point is, never throw your "titles" around. Most of the time, it's just dic* measurement that leads to no valid arguments or discussions. Thread: Medium tank: initial cost per faction16 May 2020, 16:02 PM
I'm not going to go into the fuel argument. It's pure numbers so it's directly comparable and debates are pointless. There are currently no factions that do not have a good early game. OST has ostruppen/granadiers/MGs/assaultgrens etc. US has strong infanty with w.rack Soviets can spam whatevs OKW dominates early on smaller maps, close quarters maps UKF also has good infantry and MGs with benefits in encampements and cover. The "strong early game" argumet is being less and less valid, especially if you include doctrines into the equation. If you really want to counter early axis mediums, get one ranger squad, equip 3 zooks and make them run behind your infantry. The enemy will usually try to get in to kill your squads, snare it and let rangers to their work (or snare + AT): 1 rant from yesterdays game. I threw 13 snares in one game to a Panther, 0 of them snared. What is the snare chance from US infantry on Panther? Does anyone know? In: COH2 Gameplay |

Map design impacts heavily on the games. Especially in 3v3+ maps. On some maps, static arty is super strong, on some other, it's pointless to build. Is LeFH a good piece of arty? Is it OP? situationally. In: COH2 Balance |

Randomness is part of life. It's better to be born without a penis, than without luck...cause with luck, your penis will sprout out and grow. I've had plenty of games where a 1 hp panther bounced 2 Jackson shots in a row and got out of danger. It's just life, deal with it. In: Lobby |

I keep getting completely destroyed by mg spammers in 2v2 and 1v1. Who tf would think it would be a good idea to put the best suppresion as a start item. Mg 42 should not be a starting item specially not on the Axis side they allready get a crap lot of full auto with OKW. Depends on the map. Yes, there are maps where you can't really flank without losing a whole minute or more on running. You need smokes or mortars to deal with early MGs on such maps. Otherwise, MGs are not hard to deal with. And if by any chance the enemy has encamped in one part of the map, shift your focus elsewhere. Help your teammates. He'll be sitting there with MGs and what not and you're waiting for your howitzers (US) or some light arty (ZiS) or tanks to push through or smokes ... you get the point. In: COH2 Balance |
Thread: COH2 leaderboards unbalanced?11 May 2020, 10:47 AM
Honest to God. Playing with European people or west Asian (Russia) will yield delays of max 1 second. |Max|. On average it will be around half a second. Playing against Chinese (I have once or twice played against US and rest were Chinese or some Asian flag I couldn't discern), I have always had at least 3 second delay. That is the bare minimum that the delay will be between an issued command and the command being done (movement, ability use, ... whatever). Max it was 5 seconds the whole game. I'd record it but I really can't be bothered to. Between laboratory duties and university obligations, I can only play one game per day max and I really don't have the time to record and put up on youtube or something. I don't know the netcode COH2 has nor it's relation to the TCP-IP protocol, but it's obvious that the moment I have players far away from me, the ping will get higher. It's strange because in other games like Survarium or CS GO or Dota 2, you can clearly see the time for the packets to arrive to Asia from my router, is around 200 ms (you can pick servers and it will show average ping on those servers). If I choose to play on Asian or US East or US West or Australian servers, the ping will be around 200-400, definitely not 3 bloody seconds like COH2 has it. To sum up, a package going from Croatia over to Asia or US (and back again) or anywhere far will always be measured in couple of seconds in COH2 and fractions of a second in other game network infrastructures. I'd run a tracert to relic if anyone knows the server IP. In: Lobby |

Anyway. Thank you all for some clarification on elo and how to possibly avoid (5 min mark) such network BS. In: Lobby |
