A single panther shouldn't kill a Pershing. I don't know how you're able fit that into me saying Ost can't fight a Pershing. A Panther should be able to kill Pershing. The problem is not Panther killing a Pershing, the problem is it requiring 0 micro (you can put Panther 1v1 in front of a pershing) because Pershing is really weak in defensive stats while not offering much in offensive (ROF and AI capability). If Pershing had the older AI power, then by all regards it can stay weak defensively cause it has the offensive. Right now it feels like a mediocre premium medium, not a heavy tank (Eg. if USF had Comet in the roster, I'd always choose it over Pershing). Jackson can kill a Tiger but you will constantly need to micro it to avoid the tiger closing in. Panther kills the Pershing by coming to it and saying "you want some mate?". Jackson kills the Tiger by saying "Stay there away from me". It's all legit. Doesn't make Panther, nor the Jackson, OP. Pershing needs either a buff to AI or a buff to armour/HP. Or something else. It's vet1 and vet2 are piss poor so you could also figure something out there. Don't know. I'd let the more experienced people that put out patches figure it out In: COH2 Balance

Ideally, Ram should be a vet 1 ability that doesn't stun for so long to stop the swarm of cheap freshly made t34s from cheesing. This would also address the IL2 bombing from also over performing. I have seen a couple of them escape...but yeah, usually one wrong move and it's kaputt. Don't know how you could change it though. It's a doctrinal expensive combo that ends up with losing the T34. On one hand, it's fine to spend so much to destroy a KT, on the other, it could be a bit too fast of a loss. In: COH2 Balance

In 1v1 KT is not used because of obvious reasons. 2v2 it can be used and it synergizes well with scouting units or any sort of forward vision. Generally it's not the smartest thing to put your KT on the front line if you KNOW the enemy has that combo. It's a doctrinal combo so you won't always play against it but if you do know, don't put KT first. The whole combo is RNG dependent but you do need to have smoke ready from your support gun if you are playing against that combo. In: COH2 Balance

Isn't that normal than? You spend munitions + tank and you need another tank to finish the job. I mean, it's a cheese strategy but I've seen KTs and Tigers get out with smoke, either because there were no supporting units with AT capability or the affected player smoked around the heavy tank. It's even more so since you really do need a high penetrating tank to finish off a KT. It's 375 armour will certainly mean that not every shot will penetrate at max range from SU85. Just my two cents. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: T34/85s now suck12 Nov 2020, 02:04 AM T34-85 is in a good spot. It's a great tank. 800 HP and slightly above average penetration (160-140-120), combined with not that high of a cost makes it substantial vs P4s and infantry. In: COH2 Gameplay

When I try to attack it it just insta pins my units. You need to tactically group at least 2 or sometimes even 3 RM because of rigged RNG before you can win it. Not only is this not fair that you have a unit that basically can 1v2 the best infantry, it also encourages blobbing because that is the only way to beat these things. Only a 50cal is able to beat mg42 that has already been set up but that currently takes way too much time. Mate, this whole forum is filled with crybabies and delusional people. It is what it is. MG42 is fine. It's the best MG that fits within the OST faction flavour (great team weapons). It's cancerous vs USF as they have to go for the mortar or granade unlock. One chips away at the MP for the tech/field presence, and the other chips away at the fuel for the tech/AAHT/Stuart. However, that's a problem of map balance. Some maps favor one side, some maps favor blobbing, or MGs in buildings or indirects... If there is anything that needs rework it's the maps. Some are plain idiotic or completely imbalanced that completely throws off the general balance of units. In: COH2 Balance

Churchill is broken aswell in its own sake, its being shit because it eats pop-cap and anvil is shit compared to hammer. But if you look at it as a heavy tank in general. Its actually really frustrating to play against, especially in teamgames and all of the are somewhat broken to begin with. Considering that he shits completly at any medium, it has high enouth penetration to fight all the mediums. Not to mention his ridiculous armor and health pool. AVRE and Crock are just plain pain the ass to deal with. Truth be told, 3v3 and 4v4 are generally broken. Tanks like Panther + brummbar, Churchills combined with jacksons, Super heavy tanks, Sturmtiger on Redball or Lienne (God has no mercy on you when a hidden sturm fires a nuke over the hedges and plentiful sight blockers), arty fest on angermunde and that other laney map with lots of buildings. Comet is the best 1v1 tank IMHO. Probably one of the best in 2v2. 3v3 and 4v4 it's better en masse as paks, JP4s and just plenty of shrecks will keep it at bay (before the heavy TDs roll out). That's why arty fest + 70 range tanks/heavy tanks are a thing. The sheer number of units pretty much keeps your mediums at bay. Churchill ain't broken. In 1v1 and 2v2 it's a risky investment at 19 popcap. It's less agile than a grandma with a broken hip. 1400 HP and "above average" armour of 240 pretty much make it a tanky tank that tanks, nothing else. You'll never see a decent player use Churchill on it's own. However, being effective in combined arms is not a proof of "broken". Broken units are those that can be spammed and close the game. I also think the AVRE has better AOE making it better vs infantry. Regarding the stats, Sturmtiger has better stats all around. AVRE has better 80 dmg AOE by a bit but sturm has 14 AOE compared to 8 from AVRE. It shoots faster but that's it. In good hands sturm is a nuke launcher that can hardly be stopped on most maps.
