The thing is that versus okw early mortar isn't a good idea because of how mobile their early game is but versus wehr is pretty damn good. Another thing to have in consideration is in what game mode are you guys playing with the mortar, I only play 1v1's and 2v2's so the maps are fairly small, in 4v4 it's obvious that the mortar will be a bit harder to use and the pak howie is a better option. Yes, this is definitely larger games modes vs ostheer on maps such as redball or port of hamburg. The usf mortar performs fine in 2v2 or 1v1. This probably should be a strategy post. If you want to counter ostheer mortar spam, build a couple of mortar half-track and use white phosphorus. Your teammate should go early at to prevent 222 rushes. When your half-tracks are protected, you will murder mg and mortar spam, but watch out for walking stuka barrages. In: COH2 Balance

Thread: Comet1 Feb 2018, 16:36 PM You are supposed to use the comet whenever you do not choose doctrines with crocodiles, land mattress, or avre in them. Those units are good vs pak walls and so is the comet. The only thing that is bad on the comet is its vet. You should not be building this unit in every game. In: COH2 Balance

Try checking some videos on how they should be used. Smart players are going to use rifles, 50cals, or paratroopers. It is rare to see pathfinders in competitive builds. I have heard vonivan say they are not worth getting, but I still use them to man 50 cals. Up or op is purely opinion. In: COH2 Balance

I don't think we will see these guys in 1v1, but they are perfect for crewing weapons in team games. The doctrines with pathfinders are really good currently and see lots of use. In: COH2 Balance
