221 can do a number on the Brits first of all
Second the snares don't hit the field as soon as you unlock the tech. You still have to build the squad and you're not going to have anywhere near the number of snares that other factions will

UC can also trade decent with a 221 as well. Idk, I've never really had or seen an issue with 221 vs brits. Partially because elite armor is more or less trash with the early nature of it and the ST being a literal hit or miss. The only real good part of the doctrine is HEAT rounds. |

I never get the shreck, almost always go with the sweeper. IMO they should give the shreck the same treatment, allow the launcher to be "stowed". I guess that would be silly irl but for the gameplays sake who cares
I wasn't saying you personally, but no one actually gets this upgrade. It takes away an MP40 on storms which lowers their DPS on ambush and has priority over the MP40s when models die. Sturm DPS drops off anyways by the 7-8 minute mark but 1 shreck doesn't have the DPS to be a threat to lights because of the lack of 160 damage or RoF. I just don't really understand the resistance to making the single panzerschreck good. It's bad, therefore why not buff it? |

But btw Brits don't have snares from the start either, and they never get them on their mainlines. Their AT gun isn't in the HQ...
Axis don't have min 1 clown cars. Hence why they don't require a t0 AT gun, that and they need 30F to get to AT gun tier, and they start with 20. Even at zero connected territory that's only 2.5 minutes you can tech. |
I see the point of the middle of the map being probably too slow, but the edge is still lethal to team weapons. Rope tested an infantry squad which moves instantly which is fine, but if there's a tear down time factored in the squad will probably still get wiped. |
What people here constantly keep missing is that this wholebidea does not affect regular Schrecks like the ones Panzergrenadiere have AT ALL.
It is simply an idea to slightly buff single Schreck squads in the hope of getting them a little bit of play again. Nobody uses them in the current meta.
Also to the argument it will negatively affect team ges: Sturmtruppen come at a time where your infantry build is usually finished. Sturmpios are expensive early on, don't scale too well for AI and bleed a lot. You should actually be happy if your opponent goes for three Schreck Sturmpios
Idk man. I'm getting the vibe that people think 1 sturm shreck is somehow good, even though you don't get a sweeper, hampers your AI power on an expensive squad, and it's almost never seen at high level play. Idk. |

nah,only ptrs that can hit infanty is guards,you can call others better than schreck but still same shit
They also lose almost nothing,still have camo,elite mp40 still dangerous,they also have detect vehicle ability after upgrade
Still can beat squads from ambush,still have smoke for self defence,and now they can HELP deal with vehicles
They forces t70 to not go on rampage inside your packs,main role of AT infantry is defending and proper AT guns role is to forcing to retreat

You should distinguish a squad that can defend itself from a LV with a single Schreck from a squad that has 2 Schrecks that can fight armor effectively. Single Schreck is already better AT than 2 PTRS and takes away less weapons from your squad which is a balance case. You want your inf not to be harassed by LV, give them Schreck, just don't expect it to be insane. Not everything needs to have an elite variant in the game.
And 2 PTRS are better AI than 1 or even 2 schrecks. Just because 1 is better in a certain area doesn't mean other benefits don't exist. All of the PTRS variants have added bonuses on their squads that allow them to addional means of fighting vehicles, as opposed of the single schreck sturm squad that gets nothing. Con PTRS gets AT volley, penals get AT satchel, and guards with DPs can button. All of those force vehicles to retreat, but nothing on sturms forces a t70 to retreat. |

What? Zooks and schrecks could potentially 1 shot tanks IRL and ingame there's no chance of that. Historical accuracy means very little when regarding balance.
