Thread: About IS19 Nov 2019, 19:49 PM UKF does have a unit to zone assault troops off their Sections. It's called the Vickers. 5-man Sappers are also pretty good at CQC for 210 manpower. Assault units also generally don't have snares, which makes the UC an excellent option. In: COH2 Balance

The issue is the IS-2 being such a werewolf unit (that is to say, it's only really countered by its silver bullet) rather than the JPIV being a bad tank. Most of meduim have received buffs and should not be buffed further. I don't think there's anything wrong with the TD-Medium matchup these days. The problem is mediums don't do shit to heavies. That means if one player goes heavy, the other has to go TD-medium or their own heavy, and heavy is generally proving to be the better option. This is especially true of Ost and OKW, who have expensive mediums and anti-medium tailored TDs. In: COH2 Balance

They could all get away with being 260 - 280 FU. That, or a substantial teching barrier, like OST and UKF's 200 MP 50 FU to unlock their heavy tier. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Heavy Tank CP19 Nov 2019, 13:06 PM I don't think the stats on any of the heavies need to change, except perhaps the IS-2's armour which restricts the enemy build in a way the Pershing and UKF heavies just don't. I think they just need to a chunk more expensive to offset how much more they offer than a double medium. In: COH2 Balance

Sniper would more fitted for less static game. Mortars being bad doesn't change the fact that displacing team weapons is what mortars are for. If they don't work, they need buffs, not replacement. Tiger is ten times better than Panther when it comes to AI so it is a better investment overall, however when we're speaking about countering IS2, Tiger is not much better of AT tool than Panther. Tiger has a bit of ROF advantage and is just more universal with Panther being more mobile, having vet0 range advantage and marginally higher pen. I'm not sure the Panther does counter the IS-2. If you build a Puma to counter a T-70, the Puma's probably going to kill the T-70. It doesn't matter that the Puma's got barely any anti-infantry power because the smoking husk that used to be a T-70 has none. A Panther can stand up to an IS-2 but it doesn't reliably kill it. You get the same standoff as you get with IS-2 and Tiger, except the Panther isn't obliterating models at the same time. By contrast, the Tiger can hold off the IS-2 and keep pace with it in manpower bleed. In: COH2 Balance

Sniper now deal 40-60 damage vs all infatry regardless of cover (with all modifier set to 1). Sniper do 40-20 extra damage vs support weapon. And thus sniper become a counter to heavy support weapons play. The mortar is already the anti-cover, anti-support weapon unit. In: COH2 Balance
