Everything:
- Bulldozer
- M8 Scott
- KV-2
- ISU-152
- Brummbar (shot centering)
Another issue with the Bulldozer is that it has shit penetration. Brummbar can damage tanks that mindlessly try to engage that from the front.
Of course, we're not stupid. We're not going to fix call-in-tied stuff until we are allowed to solve the call-in problem.
Nice that you are thinking of adressing the Scott, as well as the Soviet KV2 and ISU152!
But yeah I guess Armor doesn't need anymore buff, so long as it has the M10, it will be widely used. |
The primary issue with the infantry-demolishers class of vehicles is that they tend to overshoot a lot if left to their own devices, which leads to an even greater performance gap.
This makes an entire array of already useful units appear as useless. I've lost the count on how many times somebody has said Brummbar is useless. Before you judge them, the list of people that complain about the "uselessness" of the Brummbar even include some of the top-most players.
We've addressed this issue with the Stug-E already (its shots are now perfectly centered around the impact point regardless of whether you use attack ground or not), and will be doing it for all infantry demolishers.
On-topic, the Brummbar is OK for its price, and we will be adjusting the competition to its performance.
It's the whole supporting web that comes with the Brummbar (Dive Bomb, Stugs, Elefant) that make it overperform for the game modes you are concerned with, rather than the Brummbar itself.
Ostheer spends the entire game being reactive/defensive; T4 needs to offer the kind of tools that let OST go on the offensive, otherwise OST will be a lame faction to play.
Does this mean you will also make the Bulldozer Sherman a bit better for it's 140 fuel price tag? |
The only issue Obers have is the fact they get surpression through veterancy, other than that they are fine, 4 man squads will never be a problem so long as they can sometimes go *poof* right before your eyes from explosives!
Specially Obersoldat models that take extra damage from those. |
Double BARs all the way, I no longer use 1919s at all, outside of Paras who can still use two of them. |
Thompson paras still do a great job too, especially at wiping retreating units with their ability (it's a deathtrap in combat though, they will get wiped if you attempt to use it on a squad that is firing on them, and will retreat super slow too).
I like Thompson Paras a lot too, I just feel LMG Paras suplement a Riflemen build better, like how Obersoldaten can cover STG Volks when you rush for a Sherman/PZ4 |
Frankly, I was not entirely sure how strong the exhaustion was. I thought it gave received accuracy penalty as well. I remember using it once and then getting completely owned, so I guess I had it as a mental block in my brain not to use it. Good to know. Thanks.
The slow can still get you killed vs stuff like Grenades and the like, use with care. |
Sample size to small to be accurate representation of faction balance currently. Seeding of first round also often pit a high seed vs a low seed and resulted in large skill gap games where the high seed could most likely have won with any faction. At least wait for the first round to conclude this Sunday to begin making assumptions. Also if USF won the only games on crossing in the woods clearly there was a skill gap. OpieOP
That DevM game in Camping in the Woods was brutal, definitively the best game out of the 3, A_E quoting The Simpsons makes it unforgetable. |
well an Airborne build of getting 2 Echelons and LT, since you can drop an ATG if you need it then Pathfinders to support Rifles then LMG Paras which are like Obersoldaten works well if you can rush a Sherman out to seal the deal.
Rifle remains playable and is often good in maps with lots of garrisons if you line un a fast EZ8 with a Captain build to rush it even more with Supervise.
I have no idea how Mechanized could work, I mean I've seen it work for some people, but for me the truck is too slow and fragile to be worth it's cost, even with the refund. |
+1
Many people will not acknowledge that volks are overperforming though.
+2
I wonder how they will go around nerfing them, if that ever happens, heh. |
I'd rather get a Scott than this unit, serves a similar purpose while being less vulnerable to infantry units. |
