I feel USF will never be that good in teamgames because teamgames are 99% about static play, taking one VP/fuel and holding it, maybe branching out a little bit to help cap the mid VP. Flanking is largely impossible with clearly defined chokepoints that are all covered as long as the enemy has an IQ above single digits.
USF teamgame viability used to ride on the back of CalliOP/Priest cheese, especially by abusing the decrew ability with Priests. Maybe post-FBP m36 spam will be the new face of USF teamgame, but I doubt it since Brits are much better at static play from the beginning to the end of the game, and Firefly spam is already great.
You can make them work, but I have no doubt Brits could do all they do better, Or just double Soviets to counter double OKW, I need to get back into 2vs2 randoms and see how things are, Priest were getting buffed when they were gonna remove their crews right? |
USF is just frustrating to play anywhere but 1vs1 at the moment, they are not completely useless but you will certainly struggle unless you can consintently deny the enemy resources and secure triple caps, you will lean on your ally hard for Lategame if you fail to do so which isn't always possible in 2vs2 randoms.
An agressive army built around flanking will not work well when you can get double team'd. |
Don't worry man, USF is getting some help to have more presence outside of 1vs1 in the next big patch, just gotta wait and stay in touch with it. |

I don't think nerfing the BAR will make elites more atractive, MP cost and bleed is usually the concern with them, not munition investment or moving DPS.
Though that will make the BAR more of a "chill in cover" weapon which is interesting. |
USA has Problems vs OKW in live Version because of the Kübelwagen (1-3) into Luchs rush.
But with the Kübelnerf USA Inf deals great vs okw. And the time when the luchs arrive is way later now.
Oh right, from 4.5 to 2.5 Armor, that is sure to help quite a bit. |

This. Doesn't really help when the US's "versatility" is limited to racks/shell swapping/smoke (the latter of which is admittedly pretty damn good) and out of ~15 units, 2 are rifle clones, 2 are dedicated non-combat units and one is REs while another 3 are probably locked to you thanks to tech choice and your early/mid doctrinal options are all utter garbage outside limited cheesing.
Things are definitely a bit better with the FBP, but no amount of tweaking is going to fix their god-awful core design.
It's often better to build 4 Rifles then Spam Shermans, so long as you keep Bazooka Echelons in tow to help repair tanks quicker, Versatily comes at the cost of being fairly predictable.

As much as I would like to have more options for the Pershing, this commander losing the Paratroopers is a shame, I'd like another USF commander with Paras so I can use all 3 and the bulletin one day.
