Don't ask me why I want to kill enemy with MG instead of suppress, ask the Vickers.
Range 5 is the effective range of Ostheer Pios, that is why it counts. Also Ostheer has no close range abilies until Pnzgrns.
Brits get the option for double Bren, Bren carrier and Bofors (which is also op because it should have stats of OKW t3) so Vickers need stats of MG34 with its +5 range and passive pin boost. Tommyies have enouth DPS.
Bofors?
Seriously? Are you Trolling? If Brits go Bofors they will get eaten by Light Vehicles because no AEC. |
If it doesn't work anymore then they likely messed it up when they gave a cooldown to the Major becoming a FRP. |

Basically this.
Spamming maxims vs Okw was really cheesy a couple of patches ago. Usf cannot take on team weapons strats without mortar half-tracks on narrow maps. If a faction has a weakness, people will abuse the crap out of it. I am not saying we should buff mortars, but we should look at other ways of countering mgs. Soviets, ostheer, and brits have snipers or scout cars to deal with them. Usf and okw have to flank every mg.
I've been using the Pack Howitzer to great effect myself in 2vs2, it just sucks that people above 1vs1 are catching up about dual MGs being really strong out in the open, putting them in houses actually makes it easier to deal with beyond the very early game. Annoying but not impossible to deal with, the issue in some maps where smoking an MG merely forces it to move a bit further back to instapin you up close, is just covered by a second MG because some maps have such ugly funnels that are like MOBA Lanes. |

But they nerfed Mortars in general because a pair of them could punish any attempt to use cover. |
Again, I'm not ragging on the incendiary ability itself, its the fact that it slows units to a crawl, even in retreat to the point where they will receive 1% health. Incendiary for punishing static play is good, its the slowing action on retreat that is stupid.
US doesn't have any other incendiary option, their Willy Pete is how they force things to move, just keep aware the 3 units that can use it, Mortar Halftrack, a veteran Pack Howitzer and the Rifle Company Commander. |
The Pack Howitzer is really good this patch, I use it extensively nowadays and can only recommend people try it over mortars, unless you need smoke then the Mortar for sure it's better but for killing things it's the superior choice by far. Sometimes you get RNG shots that almost one shot a squad and one shot a wounded/depleted squad. |
Willy Pete is fine, it counters static play, as it should. |
Or you can take the wrong decision and call GG 5 minutes later. Even at very high level we see this regularly since the patch. Going Captain, just blob cuz USF can suppress you, going lieutenant, you can even make 2 Luchs, deny him enough fuel and get your Pz4 before his Sherman.
This design was making some sense when USF had the strongest early game, even the elite infantry limitation was making sense at that time, but today nop.
It hurts to see how right you are, OKW can abuse USF so easily, I assume things are not looking up for USF in 1vs1 when OKW is always a popular pick. |
Dropping the Free Squads would leave USF even more manpower starved than it is now, unless they were given free double bazookas again, I can't see why would I want to purchase an Officer Squad and then you end up with just an even bigger mass of infantry than it is now. |
Vehicle Crew Repairs inmobilizes you, you can just attack ground it until it dies, you know?
The Sherman smoke is better for covering assaults than retreating through it, it's one click to select and click to throw, while Panzer Tactician is ninja smoke on a Tank. Totally different.
Peniles lose AI power for getting access to the sticky satchel, you know which squads can throw it and which ones you can bumrush, Dank Hunter Sections are doctrinal. You give up things to get them, while Panzerfaust access is guarenteed by just teching up, making it more ubiquitious.
If you get a tank into a position to be snared I don't see why Ninja Panzer Tactician Smoke should save you. |
