Arty-commander only uses standard-mode. Also it arrives too late. With my Ostheer overwork I would make it a T2 unit, require T4 tech. Gren spam with g43 does not compensate their shortcomings This doesn't work. All german support-weapons are too easy to kill by passive fire and direct fire, even in green cover. You need more micro than any other fraction and for that you get little better stats, doesn't care. e.g. - PaK40 gets a good Vet1 ability, but same stats as british pounder. But it faces way more passive fire than germans can use (multible leIG18 or mortars arn't a real scenario, and lategame doesn't offer alternatives) and Allii tanks are faster. - HMG has same problems as PaK40, for more suppression it is so slow to move etc. you will lose it. But versus Germans it is way more potent -> gg. - G43 arn't bad, but they are bad as commander ability. If they were a normal upgrade + the option for LMG42 it would be good, to get bouth with T4. Beside, Grens are in a bad spot at all. Fix: the shock-nade should become a non-doc ability for Grens, so they can deal the massive blobbing of early game and can support the flanks of their support-weapons. (the commander ability could become something other useless trash). etc. In: COH2 Balance

The main-reason for Osttruppen should be to take stuff with them. But they are simply bad crew-meber. If they get same target-sice as Pios they would get really good and it would worth taking PaKs, HMGs and moratrs etc. with them. The normal enety sould get normal target sice, the Osttruppen-squat itself gets a negative targetsice if not in cover. So the unit would get better as crew, would get better as def. unit and still gets a handy-cap. - with that change the LMG-upgrade can be removed, instead give them 2 weapon-slots - maybe price up to 210mp In: COH2 Balance
Thread: The most OP unit is the game drum roll is...1 Jan 2020, 12:56 PM After multible games last days as OKW and Ostheer in 2vs2 my most OP unit is a combo. Penals+Sniper+T70. An unbeatable tactic if the other mate only spames HMGs. Why it is OP? Because all most OP things of UdSSR comes together. 1. more cost effective units (Penals) than yours like Grens and Volks. 2. Sniper killing your counter versus Penals e.g. HMGs, then overrun Grens. 3. Penals killing your counter versus Sniper e.g. 222 or holding ground so aggresive that countersniper doesn't work. 4. T70 trolling your flancs and counter everything. For me this combi shows the bad fraction design of the game. More or less, if a team gets that tactic game is broken as hell. In: COH2 Balance

After reading it again, it really doesn't sound like I am fin with the situation. xD Let's say, I think it is the best balancing we got that far. But 3 years too late, fractions still are bad designed and commander-system never got the overwork it needed, it also became worse with new ones. In: COH2 Balance

Yep. But last tiem Ostheer Piospam was a thing was 4 years ago. CE still performs. I am fine with the situation, but I am pointing at it. Because the balcing team su**s, because they are looking at situation most player doesn't have and maybe are fine in 1vs1 most people doesn't play. lyl In: COH2 Balance

Between the HMG 34, the T4 flak gun and the 251 Flak Halftrack, OKW does not lack suppression. At all. You are right, last buff was 2 years ago with a massive improvement of DPS. Before that change FlaK-HT was buffed, but because of better HMG it was nerfed into ground and was buffed 2 month ago. The changes of these units look like a sad story. Finally they are more or less ok. -> But still, for me the HMG42 is a over-kill of an unit and the reason why Ostheer sucks in early. Everything is made to work with the MG, if the map doesn't fit you are fish-food. That is bad fraction-design. In: COH2 Balance

It's the only AA vehicle in the game that can't fire on the move, it has no armour either so it SHOULD be a hard hitter. It's as glass of a cannon as any unit in the game really can be. Even then it will lose to an m5 even if it's already deployed. It's got enough drawbacks to warrant good damage and Supression It was overbuffed, that is why it got nerfed last patches. I have to say more? Less DPS, less suppression. In: COH2 Balance

I would rather have Assault Engineers, Echelon, Sturmpios, or Royal engies with a flamer than fucking combat engineers.... Sure they're doctrinal, but no one needs to "dream" about anything. Just pick the right doctrine and you get a MUCH stronger Flamethrower squad... And CEs are not better than pios. Maybe in combat they are barely better, but then there's something called the teller mine. The CEs special toy (demo) was nerfed into uselessness We are speaking about normal units and the fighting ability. Because of the price diffrence even a fight versus OKO-Pios should be a clear lose for them, but it isn't. And because of the long-range weapon-profile of CE the flamer performs better than of OKO-Pios. Overall, as combat unit they are better. And with a flamer they overperform as hell. -> brits pios can also build a mine and are way better than OKO's pios. In: COH2 Balance
