Thread: Why change the spawn system? 22 Apr 2016, 17:05 PM The point is to make placing buildings important. If you wanna play super safe, place your buildings at the back of your base. If you wanna play super agressive and hi-risk, place your buildings at the very front of your base. Your units get out faster, but you run the risk of your buildings being sniped by AT-guns or tanks. The point is to put some more strategy back into this game. The designers blundered when they removed strategic elements from COH2. The left-hand-side and right-hand-side commander tree choices from COH1 are a perfect example. Why in the world would you remove that system, and make commander abilities auto-unlock? Were they trying to take the "S" out of RTS?!? Anything they do to put more strategy back into the game is a good thing, imo. I never liked the off-map spawn points. In: Lobby

Thread: Minimalistic UI20 Apr 2016, 11:56 AM Never liked that COH2 UI, and spent way too much time pleading and proposing possibilities for the Obsmode UI. I'm still waiting for them to show chat in obsmode, which I pushed for repeatedly, over a year ago. Watching ESL games with no "gl hf" at the beginning, or no simple "gg"s at the end, was pretty lame. Although the players were muted by Relic, most viewers would just assume they don't say anything, and that the COH2 players are cardboard jerks with no personalities that don't talk to each other. What possible reason could Relic have to not show all chat? Every single E-sport title shows all-chat to viewers (LoL, dota2, CS:GO, etc). Trying to get Relic to do stuff for their own good can make you wanna pull your hair out. In: Lobby
