My commander loadout is basically an attempt trying to prove that OKW don't really need meta commanders to work around since their stock units are already good enough (I had some successes doing this with "Ober rush" tactic, but this match was not one of them).
My micro was not at best that time, I must admitted. Could have been better if I sent them capping in pair or just paid attention more. Same with mines. Beside that, thank you for the review. I'll remember to get the Raketen sooner next time.
I think my choice of setting my forward base there was a mistake...should have placed it closer to the fuel point then constant pushed to mid-VP. Beside that, which basically the biggest mistake which locked me in that spot, unable to advance and slowly bleed VP to dead, and some unnecessary wipes, I don't know what I can do to improve?
Usually I layed down a lot of mines, but in this game, under constant US attacks, I failed to do that. However, in terms of strategy, what could I have done differently? I'm RoyalWeapon (OKW) in the replay.
P/s: I managed to got a Vet 5 Panzer IV though ... Still not enough to save my ass from being kicked back to Berlin though
The heroes took down 2 Pershings! Numerous American died, their blood only highlight his Ace! The commander and his Panzer IV tank crews knew they have got each others a noble Knight's Cross. But sadly,... despite his best efforts, he couldn't saved his comrades from an inevitable defeat...
P/s: Yeah, I got bleeded hard in terms of VPs. If there were still VPs left, I could have fight on and possibly defeated him... but well play by him, trapped me in my own forward position.
Haven't seen Shocks for a while, actually. However, if I recalled correctly, Shocks' dps at close range is actually got out-match by Commandos and Rangers with Thompsons (Which got seen way more than Shocks), but since they cost more and only 5 man (4 for Infiltration Commandos), that kinda balance that out. But seriously, if I see Shocks, I would run! Like, Volks can fight them long-range but I would just better off running...
Had a huge lead in army... failed to finished me off with one massive assault. That, my friends, is what many USF players seem to fall to: he clearly had an advantage: Huge infantry forces with Shermans, against me with inferior infantry forces (Only 1 Obers squad seem to be potent enough to fight 2+ rangers) and only 1 Pz.IV. Yet, he allowed me to get jadgpanzer, wastefully throwed away his panzers 1 by 1, then it was just up to me to finish him off with KT. (Bonus: My internet was playing a game called "Let's see how you can play with lags"...many grenades could have been dodged...)
P/s: the map is once again, Westwall by LordRommel. Also, Overwatch Doctrine is very, very good, not because of the Goliath, but the amount of information you get from your HQs. Note that I chose to play defensively after seeing him had a way much powerful force and slowly build up armour advantage while he kept slamming heads on.
Axis on Trois point!? That's kinda suicide, man! I would just vetoed it straight out. Too urban + too easy to dug-in with emplacements/indirect-fire weaponry/arties + many close-range combat area = Allies' favourable map
Why would you go for Medic HQ in 1v1 while Mechanized HQ is so much better! You can always try to get Vet 1 Sturmpioneer for healing then back tech later. I won the game with literally only 1 infantry squad lost and 3 vehicles (Top preservation, if I do say so myself ), despite Soviet player go penals and SU-76 spam (He wasn't much success with the SU-76 spam, but he played well, in my opinion).
The map is Westwall, by LordRommel, by the way. Also, if someone can cast the game and tell me how good or bad I did (Consider I was known to be completely crap at playing OKW... I mean, look at my 2v2 rank as OKW!), I would gladly appreciated (I guess the match is around top 700, based on my opponet's rank since I haven't got my rank yet)
If there was just a Bofor, it wouldn't have been a problem. However, the real problem here is the strong synergy between mortar pit + Bofor. Along with the Brace (Which more of an annoying feature than a problematic one, to be honest), FHQ with constant self repair, yeah, that's quite annoying!
The best way to deal with that kind of sim city would have been the Fortification Doctrine, but sadly, Jove didn't have the commander equipped, so it took him way longer than expected.
As allie u can make much mistakes...its wayne. u klick your call ins and can look how the enemy army will be killed.
u can spam one infantery unit and one tank unit (USF: rfiles;easy8 brits: IS, comets ) and can swarm the enemy whitout any problem.
do u want to lock a wide area? no problem...build OP emplacement (by the way: when we will get statisitk about the dmg from bofors, mortas and their received dmg??? WHEN??? than u can see how op this units are.)
So what do you want!? German to be as strong as the Allies? You want to make as much mistakes as you can like the Allies as German? You really want to dumb yourself down like the Allies!? (No offenses to those Allies fanboys/players) Wel, that's not how you "German". You keep calling out Allies OP stuffs but show no ideas of changing it, so what?
