OKW got 6-7 types of infantry. None of them is builder only or narrow specialist, all of them perform well in combat in different, but not specialist limited situations.
What makes you believe OKW was meant to be carried on the backs of volks alone?

Volks are axis cons, they will carry you through the early and early mid game, but they are not going to compete against much more expensive squads with much more expensive weapon upgrades, so use your own elite infantry.

Panther is much more expensive than T34/76! It should never lose to one!
Grenadiers are much cheaper than USF Riflemen, Penals, Guards, Shock Troops, UKF Infantry Section.

PS: THEY HAVE DAY/NIGHT cycles (in 24 increments) also, they have winter maps, summer maps,
etc. Maps are huge!

I dont know why they did this, they had 99,9% of the planet telling them not to do things the way they were doing it and people told them what they wanted to see in the game and they still did what they want. It seems that they want to make games for theirselves and not for the players like they said. They paid for what they did so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

DOTA 2 addicts were the target. Offering them a 71.00$ game at launch that had 3 factions, and
few heroes to lure them away from their FREE DOTA2 game, where ~ 16 million people play, have a
strong player base, and they've already paid for all their pretty cosmetic doodads.

As for DOW, I consider it to be a niche, it's similar to StarCraft, or StarShip troopers.
Think of them as Trekkies. Now, try to make a StarTrek movie that ignores all and EVERYTHING

Just wanted to give you the actual numbers, because why would anyone complain that a Tank Destroyer is actually doing it's job is beyond me, specially since it was a meme unit with 200 Penetration at max range, the only range it could be used without it spontaneously combusting because it had barely more HP and Armor than a light vehicle.
