Ostheer requiring the most micro? Really? Well, certainly more micro than OKW :V But you have units like the MG42 which covers such a wide arc, is buildable in the very first building (why, Relic?) and apparently is only 240 Manpower compared to say, the inferior 50 Cal MG team, which can handle themselves pretty well. Not to mention those bunkers that keep you on the frontlines with the Reinforce/Healing upgrades or protecting points and flanks with the MG upgrade.
:/
1. The UKF get a MG from their first building.
2. If you were to get rid of it you would have to replace it with grenadiers. |
I will pay to see commandos or jesus troopers get beaten in a fair skirmish with sturms |
Points about pay to win some seem to overlook
1. There have been two company heroes game in 10 years, which is pretty modest. *cough cough CoD, Total War, Battlefield, Assassins creed cough cough*, I means lets face it, if there had been like 5 in the last ten years a lot of you would have gotten more than 2.
2. There are decent free commanders. Eg. Guard Motor, Shock Rifle, Luftwaffe ground forces and Jaeger Armour.
3. You can get everything from warspoils (well technically, good luck getting all the rare commanders you want)
4. Paying for a good commander isn't instantly gonna make you win.
5. And unrelated don't flood the balance forum with erma gawd someone beat me by spamming I&R pathfinders with decoy flares must be OP QQ relik nerf plox
6. As most of you would be capitalist you would believe in a companies right to make money.

Grenades, artillery, tanks, early game non-blob infantry. These are things that yield significant reward with these influences around when micro managed. |
The second reason why I do not like your proposition is that it will just make mortars a bad investment against anything other than heavy support weapon play. Infantry heavy play often revolves around quick movement and flanking. Barrage abilities are totally useless in these types of engagements. Having mortar rely on the barrage will just send them into extinction like the heavy howitzers, but unlike heavy howitzers they do not even have the redeeming factor of obliteration the target infantry squad if they get a lucky first hit.

It is fine the way it is. Instant wipes are very very rare and still rare with heavy mortars it is still hard to instant wipe. This will severely limit how dynamic the mortar is. With infantry micro you may as well be making the mortar completely redundant against any infantry but heavy weapon teams. The purpose of the of the barrage ability is to attack things not in sight such as hidden MG's, emplacements, enemy arty etc. Most wipes I see are from people who refuse to notice that they are under mortar fire. |
Will the T34/76 ever receive upgrades purchased with muni such as a dushka MG turret similar to the MG on the Pz4 or Tiger? Or something like the steel mesh that the crews placed on it at the toward the end of the war for a little bit of extra armour. Should it have access to this? Something to make it less linear and I feel usable. |
German infantry is more squishy. Can you imagine how stupid it would be if the Katyusha was like the Panzerwerfer damage-wise because the Ostheer have 4 man squads opposed to the USSR 6? The suppression is stupid though. |
The first time I've seen a balance thread where the OP isn't just I LOST MUST BE OVERPOWERED RELIC NERF PLOX |
