The Valentine is static with the ability on so you would need 2 to cover one tiny area. and the two together can still not defeat a microed P4. Buffing its gun wouldn't make it a spammable unit as it still lacks the speed and armour to combat a P4. Find a real issue to be upset with. I have no idea why you are offended, but it was not my intention. I simply responded to your comment that creates the wrong impression of what I post in this thread. I never claimed that one could spam Valentines and win nor did I claimed that there was some changes planed in the WBP. Now I observed for the second time a situation where unit B did not returned fire although the target was indeed visible. The fight was quite simpe: riflemen (exp. Lv 1) in bushes (yellow cover) shooting at Panzergrenadier in capping circle (neutral cover). The PzGren did not return fire. Does anyone know what could be the issue here? Maybe it is related to the fact that some enteties were outside and some inside the range? Sight radius is 35 not 30. Range check is for each entity separately. In addition some time vision/shot blocker prevent a unit from firing but not from being fired upon (seen it happen more with vehicles not sure if it happen with infantry). Some unit get extra range (pathfinders, Fall, PTRS) In: COH2 Gameplay

Thats not planned in WBP or in live version now. you cant spam the Val and win. Let me try to explain to once more since it seems that you have not read the posts. It has been suggested that damage of the valentine gun should go up and I am simply saying that changes in valentine should be done carefully since it does provide a maphack ability. Imo restricting "observation" to 1 would solve this problem and open the way in buffing the valentine. In: COH2 Gameplay

Now you can not spam them but if ones increases their combat efficiency one has to reduce their utility. I simply pointed out is that the most common unit to reach Vet 5 as OKW. When shreck was removed from VG people though that VG blob would be replaced by SP blob. They did not. The ST44 is actually so strong that allows VG to reach vet 5 even without the shreck. And again I am not sot saying that they should be nerfed since allied infantry are far more OP. Actually all infantry should be re-balanced one vs the other as they where made in the "Update September 9th, 2014" In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Volksgrenadiers & Obersoldaten3 Mar 2017, 12:17 PM ST44 on VG is a bad implementation because it introduces a weapon with completely different characteristics than it classification (assault rifle) and its counterparts. V.G. are OP and they are one of the few units that actually reach vet 5. On the other hand the offenders on the other side of the fence are far more and thus nerfing VG before fixing allied infantry would be bad move imo. If I had to would implement ST44(and their other solutions) on V.G. differently. I would make the upgrade a 5 single shot St44 upgrade increasing mid and close DPS at the expanse of far bring V.G. slightly lower than riflemen levels. Then a MU ability to use full auto would be available increasing the mid to close DPS again at the cost of the far DPS (proalby reducing moving speed or requiring to be stationary). On the other hand Ober are currently not cost efficient. The need a weapon upgrade, have to retreat early take for ages to reinforce while having very pop. All that translates to paying a high upkeep for a unit that will spend most of its time going back and forth to base and reinforcing. (Imo reinforcement speeds need to be looked at because some units reinforce to fast (hmgs,ostrruppen...) and other to slow (Pgs, Obers...) In: COH2 Balance
