Have you ever considered the possiblity, that you're wrong?
And all this, is nothing but entertainement for the rest of us? The way you huff and puff and achieve nothing?
I wonder if doubt exists in a mind such as yours, or if your upbringing beat that out of it.
Alright, I'll bite.
I will break my promise of not replying to you solely because your logic baffles me and this is turning into an interesting discussion that's going in depth of the human psyche.
Have I ever considered the possibility that I am wrong? Of course, after all I am a human being, I have my faults as we all do, nobody is perfect.
Wrong about what tho? Believing in something? Since when is belief wrong?
It's like saying that I am wrong if I believe in God and Aliens, who is to say that one or the other does or doesn't exist? Because nobody up until this point has provided solid proof of either.
If you're trying to say that I am making a fool of myself that is just your opinion. For me it's voicing what I think, something which I think is normal for an intelligent being, because probably none of us would be here if we didn't communicate, not because we physically couldn't but because we didn't want to or whatever.
And yes my son, doubt does exist in my mind, as it probably does in yours and in any other self respecting human being's mind.
Doubt, like many things is a normal human emotion, but then again that is perhaps just my opinion and you or anyone else is free to disagree with me.
But I think it's about time you drop this childish logic of the existence of right or wrong or good and bad, it's all different points of view and different opinions, nothing more.

Maybe your fighting would have been more succesful if you had used some of the time writing your 1400 forum posts playing the game to support your requests a bit.
Maybe relic had the opinion 1 game isn't enough to back up 117 forum posts
I know this won't shut you up but it will at least prove you wrong: https://imgur.com/a/1whWX8n
And yes har har I have 20 achievements, big whoop, I had to reset them because I was called a hacker or whatever, don't believe me? I don't care.
How many times do you need to be told this?
- Relic doesn't want major mortar pit changes
- Relic will not allow it in any patch
- Including changes for testing that will 100% not be allowed is a waste of time and distracts from changes that might actually make it
If people want to test it they can try your mod.
That is just your opinion, which is by the way proven wrong by Relic themselves with the many changes they've done, such as mentioned many times adding the MG34 and Panzer IV as default units for the OKW, giving the USF a mortar and so forth.
You are free to ignore me and just continue on being... whatever you are but you will not change my mind, I will keep fighting as long as I see it's worth it, it's how I was taught and it's how I will die.
And lastly, here's something else you can edit to fit your unfunny agenda:
Why? Because I just don't give a fuck what you personally think about me. |
That's not going to happen. Don't get me wrong, I'd love UKF to have a practical indirect fire weapon team. But it won't happen.
With the exception of the commander revamps Relic wants the balance team to balance the game, not redesign it. They only get to make minor tweaks: costs, prerequisites, stats. The one man Soviet sniper came from Relic itself, as apparently did the popcap rework. If things as simple as UKF snares or ditching Bolster were vetoed outright I can't see something as major as the artillery pit ever getting the go ahead from Relic.
That Artillery pit will likely never happen and complaining to the wrong people isn't going to change that.
No offense but thank you Captain Obvious for pointing that out, I think I figured it out about 2 years ago.
The Community Balance team has tested other experimental changes to the Mortar Pit about 2 patches back when the so called "scope" included the UKF or at least their emplacements, so I don't think I'm asking for too much here about a test of an experimental feature, similar to what they did in the preview.
My only wish is for an unbiased, unprejudiced... fair chance, as Two-Face from the Dark Knight put it. Implement it in the preview, give it to the community for testing and then decide whether people like it and agree with it or not.
That is all I ask for and I will keep on fighting for what I believe in because if I was crying or whining as you said I would be making topics about a particular unit or Army being OP or UP constantly like many other people. |
Hmmmmmm, you seem to disagree with yourself.
In this very thread.
I could ask for a reply on why comprimising balance is impossible, but you're just going to post another picture and hope I forget.
And you seem to just be triggered.
Stating that I think that balance should be "balanced" between competitive people and casuals is not a comment on balance, it's just my opinion on how balance should be. Of course that doesn't mean I'm right or wrong.
But whatever, I won't argue with you any further since it's obvious that whatever you reply to me will be driven by anger and not clear and mature judgement, like more or less the unexpected reply I got from VonIvan.
And just wanted to say that if anything you should strive to be more like him, at least he's respectful. |

Alright, you've spoken the truth. What changes would you like to see in the next patch? Can you give me a detailed list of things you want changed/added with constructive arguments that prove your points to be true in a professional and well thought-out manner? I'll assume you enjoy playing against AI? Or do you partake in 4v4 at all? What do you hate most about this patch? Please be very specific. I'm most interested in reading your response.
I must have triggered a great many people for one of the top dogs to reply to me.
Like I have said before, especially to Katitof, I have never and will never argue or comment on balance as I believe and as he says that it is not my place for that, with which I agree.
However I still think that I have a right of at least suggesting a change in mechanics that would benefit the game.
One such and the only one that I would like to see is PlanetSmasher's Artillery Pit at least tested by the community in large scale, and I have fought for this for perhaps 2 or more years now.
You will find the link to the mod in my signature, as well as here is an old topic of mine where more people have voted that it would be beneficial to at least test it: https://www.coh2.org/topic/62733/would-you-like-to-test-the-artillery-pit-in-the-fbp
You will also find at least 2 or 3 topics dedicated to the discussion of the British mortar pit recently if you haven't already noticed them, where they also agree with me on at least testing the idea.
That is all. |
|
This is nice, I really like what you're doing with these mods, both this and the previous one.
I wish you luck with this and could only hope to help you if I had the time.
Keep up the good work. |
The top 5 to 10% of players are the part of the community that are most knowledgeable about the game. They absolutely SHOULD be the ones making the decisions about balance because balance doesn't really affect the rest of the player base anyways. I also don't understand what changed that made the game so terrible to play. Personally, I have been having more fun than ever especially since the commander revamps.
I doubt any of these people know HOW the game actually works tho.
Same with vehicles, the ones driving it know how it handles and can fix a few minor problems by themselves but the mechanics are the people that actually know how and what drives the vehicle and how to fix it if there is a major problem.
It's balanced around skill, I'm not sure what you expect. What problems do you have with the patch?
I generally don't see a point since I know that you or Katitof will just send me a smartass reply like "omg learn to play" or whatever but eh, I don't really care anymore to be honest, nothing is gonna change.
My personal issue is that the British still do not have a mobile mortar, and a suggestion that both keeps them unique and gives them a mobile mortar is in my signature, is agreed upon by many people and is even made by one of the top people developing these balance patches.
But so far has not even been tested for the following reasons:
Makes the Armies similar altho nobody can explain to me why all other Armies have mobile indirect fire units that don't cost fuel and aren't called in from a doctrine, why the OKW got the MG34 instead of it being docrtrinal, Panzer IV instead of the double Panzer IV call in, the USF getting a mortar and so forth.
And I have the answer to that myself, and it is because they needed it, so why not the British get something they NEED as well?
And the other reason given was that the Scope didn't allow it altho other experimental things were tested, but not this, and it was as radical if not less as the experimented changes.
So either someone here is lying or there is major bias by one of the sides. |
You play comp stomps....
Balance is of ZERO relevance there, so WHY are you even here, being concerned about anything balance related, when if there is a singular player in whole coh2 forum community that should not be concerned with balance at all - its you.
AI does not care for balance gimmicks and is not able to use them, its not going to spam certain unit because its perceived as op.
And if normal ai gives you trouble, there is easy ai for you to roll over.
Ahh, the polish named know it all troll speaks.
And let me ask you this my good sir, who in the hell are you to tell me that I don't belong here or that I don't have a right of an opinion?
And I have NEVER, EVER said anything about stats, EVER, try and prove me wrong.
I have only, ONLY ever talked about actual change in mechanics which very well concern me as long as I am playing the game.
And I am glad that there are people like Sturmpanther instead of someone like yourself that care about the little guy because you obviously care very little for anyone else apart from yourself, and your "learn to play" and other trollish comments only support my claim. |
Hi, Zarok here, I am a top 50 player and if a change made to placate the mediocere players would result in a unit becomg OP if used by me, what do you think would happen?
I would start a literall killing spree, ranking all the way up to top 5 and utterly destroy the hapless players who are apperently the target audience for this change.
Sincerely,
The maxim spammer.
Listen son, I work for a living, no mommy and daddy to pay for me, my car or my girlfriend so I don't give a damn about who you are, what level you are or how well you play, I, like most of this community, just want to play this game for a few hours after work and just relax a little, while you, like I said, represent only about 5-10% of this entire community.
So no, I don't think that we should aim to be like you, HelpingHans, VonIvan and the rest of the "pro" players, I have watched HelpingHans specifically and have played other games with him as well and I admire the fellow however like I said, I don't see why we should suffer and try to be like him in order to enjoy this game.
And enjoying this game means that it should be balanced, and it's only balanced around the top players, so if it were me I would try not to go to some extreme but try and strike, a balance, no pun intended so that everyone can be happy.
And by balance I don't mean stat changes which can be abused by the pro players, I mean actually listening to the rest of the god damn community and implementing compromising changes that the bigger part of the community can also enjoy the game.
And that shall be it until like I suggested 2 game modes be implemented, 1 for the smaller 1v1 and 2v2 competitive scenes and 1 for the bigger and more casual 3v3 and 4v4 scenes, then, I would fully agree that no compromise should be met as both sides would have their own "sectors" so to speak which they can enjoy.
But as long as we are in a single boat that only favors one side tensions will always be high and disagreements always out there, unless like I said compromises are made so more can be happy than unhappy. |
