I dont think paying is the right thing, but maybe donating - adding some donate button under guide to its creator, editor and artist like most of streamers have would be cool
Thumbs up! Great idea. While back I was involved with improving a knowledge management system. This is exactly the way to go imo. Hope you guys get plenty of reward for your efforts. |
"Let me just show you with one example how your data and statistics are wrong..."
So unupgraded riflemen in the open loose to STG Volks in green cover => proof that you need elite infantry to counter Volks
My opponent is unable to contain my luchs with double AT-guns + Stuart => proof that the luchs is 'by far the best light vehicle in the game'
I win a game even though USF mortar wipes squads and takes out half their health in single shots => proof that USF mortar is UP
Is that it? |
Sista, the guy just literally showed you the numbers based on which your assessment of volks is utter bs. |
Leaves SU sniper on hold fire cloaked with anticipation (cause i can't move from cover to cover as other snipers or heck other infantry units), can't kill enemy sniper cause he recloaks faster than the aimtime. Feelsbadman.
IMO if factions relied less on certain commanders, you could make some doctrinal solutions with certain infantry squads.
For USF: Pathfinders. It's been a long time since i saw someone using this unit besides double bar trolling. If LT wasn't "dead", M20 would be your choice to kill it.
For OKW: i think it would be stupid to simple buff JLI, but if there was a unit, that should be it. PF also counter them with 6 man G43 squad. On it's base army, OKW can only counter by sheer amount of unit/firepower or with utility based vehicles which are not easy to deploy pass certain time (Kubel is good if vet1, IR HT for teamgames).
Ya, going for LT and M20, or Jaeger LI / Fuesilier doctrines essentially just to counter a sniper isn't the perfect solution. I kinda like the idea of reducing the snipers sight range while uncloaked, so at least it cannot operate on it's own so easily, might also improve counter snipe potential. |
Consider that first T70 costs 145F (165F - 20starting) and it's without AT nades while first Luchs needs 120F.
As for the MP it's quite similar, 600for T70 and 615 for Luchs.
Also consider that OKW will have pzfausts, raketens and schrecks while SU will have nothing, unless T2 instead of T1 (but then 155F) so no snare, no at gun, no handheld AT unless Guards but then you are bind with the doc.
As for the Stuart, it's useless after sometime while Puma can deal with medium tanks and vetted Luchs is always useful with camo.
The calculation isn't really that clear cut I think. OKW has to make a more impactful decision on whether to build Mechanized or Battlegroup since mechanized delays proper healing by (450MP + 55F) and further tech quite a bit while soviet tier 3 is mandatory in every game, unless you want to go for call-in vehicles only.
The stuart can still be useful to assist with stun and respond to harassing infantry, so can the t-70. All those light vehicles scale similarly in my opinion. Puma is just more comparable to an Su 76 than the other 3 in their roles. |
Except sniper is the backbone of most ostheer 1v1 builds and soviet sniper team is a unit that is almost never used due to low RoF, terrible camo and the fact it's easiest to full health wipe unit in whole game.
Sure it is less potent than the Wehrmacht sniper but you'll see people buy it at least to counter snipe. On the other hand it bleeds Wehrmacht more due to squad size and reinforce costs, so if both had the same sniper Wehrmacht could basically pack in. Sniper play is somewhat balanced between Soviets and Wehrmacht but not so much towards other factions. Particularly USF and OKW struggle with snipers more. Without playing the factions that are on the receiving end it is easy to say one has no frame of reference. |
In fact, this time he is arguing not to nerf ostheer. That is kind of noble for allied only player.
I'd say arguing not to nerf snipers is as much pro Soviets as it is OH, only 3 factions would be affected (nerfed) after all. |
where is yours?
The guy literally plays Soviets only and all of his posts are centered around that perspective. Why even bother joining this thread if one never played OKW or USF? This is just a troll. |
no its abnoxious. dont fix anything plz
Someone makes an effort and points out with reasoning what and why they want to change something, and this is what you reply? Just like in all of your contributions. Cannot someone please ban this guy from posting more trash? He obviously doesn't know how to read and write.
@Antilles950 I think either one of your proposals are valid options, though it is more USF and OKW (not UKF) that suffer from sniper play I think. UKF can counter snipe at least. |
I think to argue that okw flak base is completely fine is a bit... not naïve, not necessarily biased, but not quite right. I am a big team game scrub. If I'm playing against 2 or more okw I know that any recon planes I call in will be lucky to get eyes on that lefh we're trying to get with an offmap, or any other scenario. If they have ostwinds or flak halfies, ok. My planes got shot down by units they had to specifically buy. That's fine. If they are pounding me with planes, or I get sick of them knowing everything I do due to all the recon planes I have to buy an AA unit too. But because okw teched up, I cant recon their side of the map effectively if at all. doesn't seem quite right. That is my issue.
btw I never play okw. im biased. I do play lots of Wehrmacht.
Ok, so I tested a single HQ, USF major recon doesn't get shot down before it reveals territory that it would otherwise have anyways. The command vehicle recon from UKF, at least with only one Panzer HQ is very resilient judging from what I've tested (not sure if that thing should be there in the first place). Not sure about the other recon abilities but those ones I've tested. I assume other loiter recons are affected badly? Maybe they can be made more durable. Otherwise, maybe read the rest of the thread as there are already solutions proposed.... |
