Thread: The 'King of the Hill' event by Stormless7 Feb 2017, 18:11 PM I would like to suggest the first game to be for medium skilled players. Lets say worse than rank 100 or even 150... I guess people would be more willing to play themself if they'd know the enemy won't rekt them in the frist 10 minutes. Also it would only be one game. It would give a different view on the state of balance for non top 10 players. Some cheesy stuff is extremely easy to play and extremely hard to counter which you don't normally see from top 10 players. In addition the first game might be a bit less entertaining but at least the players will be more likely to play their best game and not make this become a troll fest. You'd simply build it if you saw mechanized headquarters from OKW, otherwise you'd skip it for cromwell. Boring. Inb4 AEC vs Puma every game, or no AEC vs medic truck. what is wrong with that? would you rather see AEC every time as it is right now? that's my definition of boring. this game isn't just about micro it's about teching as well. if you tech the wrong stuff you should be punished. as you mentioned AEC would be the hard counter to mechanised Luchs or double 222. Where you would build the AEC AFTER the Luchs hit the field to prevent the Puma/AEC duel. AEC vs Puma should not be what the brit player wants. In case of the Puma brits would tech piats or AT gun. btw AEC would be great against Flack HT as well which got its buffs and might be used more often now! In: Lobby
Thread: Winter Balance Preview Replays24 Jan 2017, 15:36 PM imo the AEC should behave like a Puma. It should not be both AT and AI (even if lackluster) the Puma got nerfed by changing the TWP ability so it can no longer wipe 1 man squads on retreat which is good. so it has lost basicly all its AI power. AEC should behave the same. It gives the British player a choice between AT gun and more mobile AEC to counter early LV. With the changes to piats brits now have also a 3rd option to deal with LV (or has that been reverted?). In the live version Brits go AEC every time to counter the expected Luchs or 2x222 because they also get a pretty good AI unit as well. OKW has to choose between AI or AT only (Luchs/Puma) in comparison. In: Lobby

As I have said in the "garden the scope" thread: relic should patch the live game with WBP V1.6 as soon as possible and let the modders takle a new scope. most obvious thing is call in infantry/tanks - the AT kind is particularly cheesy (AT partisans, M10) stormtroopers are fine btw because they come without their weapon upgraded. AT partisans could be fixed by simply having to buy the schreck and having the AT nade on cooldown when spawning from a building. schreck could be cheap to upgrade as well. maybe 50 ammo or smth like that. I think relic is working on ading more changes to the patch more than just whats being worked on in the WBP. Im only thinking about this because there was a poll put up by relic asking for thoughts on the state of the P4. So wouldn't that kind of hint to us that we have the luxury of working on a small section of the patch while relic gives us more changes on the other end? Probably just hopeful thinking. this is actually my worst night mare... imagine relic implementing new changes alongside the balance mod changes. now remember last patch where they "improved" miragefla's changes In: COH2 Gameplay
