Thread: NEW: Inputlag in coh2 17 Dec 2020, 20:06 PM In my case this is not an issue of relic servers but of my isp directly. (Vodafone, until recently Unitymedia) Since the last 3 weekes I have no internet connection at all for several minutes, which results in disconnects in COH2. I am literally unable to work from my "home office" after 16 o'clock. It is usually better during typical work hours but gets unbearable after 16/17 o'clock. During the "prime time" hours I can't even watch youtube videos because the interruptions are so frequent that is keeps buffering every other minute for several minutes... I went to the supermarket today and got myself 3 cases of beer and 4 bottles whisky. lockdown is great atm In: COH2 Gameplay

Do all people from central europe connect to the same local servers or are there differences? Why is my connection faster by a factor of four when I enrypt my traffic to a random server in italy and go from there to the relic severs and then go the same way back compared to my regular connection straight to the servers. Either it has to do with the different servers or something happens on the way. It's hard to imagine infrastructure issues on the backbone since everything else works just fine in other games in the day and age. I can understand why you would use a vpn to bypass a region block or something, but I don't wanna use it to play a video game. It fucks up other applications or streaming aswell. On top of that you have to pay for a proper one. Wouldn't it be possible to run a traceroute and identify the hop that delays the packets? Do we have the public IP of these servers? I totally agree! If you or Sturmpanther bring this issue to their attention we might even get a response. If only the public IP address of the battle server(s)? so we could start some testing... In: COH2 Gameplay

And it is not graphic settings. many people have had this issue over the lifespan of coh2. it is worse from time to time and depending on your isp as well. see this topic to share in the suffering... you will also find instructions on how to ping the servers apparently there are a number of reasons why this happens and more often than not it is not directly relics fault. maybe it helps your suffering when i tell you that for the last couple of days i experienced heavy lags/input delays at evening hours in germany as well. i suspect its just a problem with german isps which cant handle all of the traffic during "prime time". i hope it gets better soon... until then i try to play later at night which seems to work far better!
