Hi! I'm pretty new to COH2. In 1v1s, I've gotten really close to winning (50 points away), only to have the ever living shit blown out of my spawn, any units, etc, with rocket arty, regular arty, and heavy armor to back it up. I of course have my own heavy armor (I play as the US), and do what I can to try and take it down, but I always lose fights to tigers + arty + blobs of AT infantry, then promptly get my spawn camped to high hell by constant artillery. Is there anything I can do/do differently? Hi man, welcome! Best thing you can do is probably upload a few replays of you on coh2.org in the replay section and link them here if u want some indept feedback. I myself am not really a 1v1 specialist, more a 2v2 main. What i would do however, in the first place is get some arty myself. Pakhowis are amazing, but scotts will also do if u want to be more mobile. Mobility and not blobbing (to much) is also key, since people have the tendency to safe their rocket arty barrages for that one big fat target. also you should try to prevent your axis opponent from getting to this point of having arty and heaevy armor at the same time where u can. (easier said then done lol) But what i mean is that you could go for some sneaky stuart/sherman rushes and try to sneak up on a pwerfer. You could even give the stuart crew some zooks if u got ammo left and just pop out next to the raketen. since a stuart wont 1shot a pwerfer but 2 zooks will i believe. probably more 1v1 gods will show up here eventually to give more tips. A tiny update appearently the brits are gonna have an additional healing option because it is hard to heal their troops. Now i am wondering, why the brits but not the sovjets As for the merge argument sov can merge cons and brits cant: but you still have to heal those cons somewhere ^^. Otherwise it would be a waist of manpower and the state resources. I mean for me both brits and sov have a similar issue. Brits cant heal at base when all their troops are spread around the map while sov can only heal in the base but not all around the map. I'm very calm lol, i just wanted to prevent the thread from becoming derailed. Sometimes that happens way to quick. As for your question. Yes there are 3 doctrinal sovjet healing options, 2 of those are common to be seen i think. However i don't think they are as meta as the heavy tank docs atm. I see what your getting at, doctrines are suppposed add new additional features or enhance faction features or make up for minor weaknesses. However i feel like there are certain conditions which any faction must fullfill. Having healing options ouside your base is one of those. For example in the past, OKW did not have an MG at all, then they added one into doctrine. Still this was not a good enough solution for the problem of not having a mg. So they ended up giving okw a mg anyway. A shitty one but still an mg. Now having a mg is in my opinion just as essential as having a methode to heal your troops outside the base. Sure you can use doctrines to enhance this healing feature, but there should be a healing feature to heal outside the base if you want to use other doctrines. Like okw wanted and needed to have mgs without a doctrine. In: COH2 Balance |

well in 1v1 and 2v2 the retreat paths are way shorter already and a frp is not that big of an advantage there. So then its just about the healing speed who comes back on the field first. Which i would say isnt faster then axis heals and then at most it would be the same. Anyway i agree it must not be faster then axis heals. U can only put 2 squads in there, and i am not sure if people would built at ht just for heals and re-enforcement in 1v1 or 2v2. Specially in 1v1 i think. Also they could give the m5 a slower heal rate then the 251 and let it increase with vet. Because you heal more models at the same speed afterall because the squads size. In: COH2 Balance |

M5 is also a open top HT. Do you wanna compensate for that??? Cus ost infantry are totally taken out of the fight when they are healing. Sure the 251's dps out put is a lot better than the m5, but infantry still would be able to contribute. Also cons have merger you can just keep a con squad in fully healed being able to shoot, come out merge and go back in and heal. what about out of combat only heal, dont think that should be a problem In: COH2 Balance |
