I like the idea of a unique squad as the Mechanized Group - as it stands getting a vanilla Grenadier (even with "Free" LMG) isn't too exciting and as said above - comes too late and doesn't make sense delaying your build order just to get a 250 and Grenadier you could build from Tier 1 anyway. A unique squad would make it worth to make a build order that worked the Mechanized Group into it. Bonus points if the squad would promote combined arms light vehicle play to be thematic. You think they should still come with 2 squads if they get the option for AT rifles? I think 2 squads would be fine with AT Rifles - AT Rifles alone are never super threatening and would merely be a LV deterrent as I imagine it in my head. If it's a little too powerful you could always disable Faust with AT Rifle upgrade so you can't snare and kill with cheap squads too easily. Would be a nice doctrinal alternative to the expensive PZ Gren Shreks for mobile AT I think. In: COH2 Balance

It would be nice if Ostruppen Reserves were equipped with entrenching tools (sandbags and such) and maybe have an option to upgrade AT Rifles and Light AT Mines to better fit defensive theme. Honestly for Mechanized I think it would be cleanest to just give them the plain 250 HT ability from Infantry (or lock the group behind BP1 so it has same timing if you really want the combo). For supply drop I think idea # 2 is perfect - just mirror it to Brit Tactical support ability essentially. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Feedback for New Commander mod 4.0 - OST core changes15 Apr 2019, 12:34 PM I know it's low priority but if PGs keep their new Vet 1 Combined Arms Passive I'd love to see Infantry Doctrine Veteran Squad Leader upgrade for PGs changed so that they get something new now that the upgrade is Stock Vet. Thread: Cav Rifles9 Apr 2019, 15:11 PM Calvary Rifles fill in for a regular Riflemen in your build and they by default have longer range snares so it's not much more micro taxing in that regard. As a type of Riflemen you can argue they should have snare and that it fits thematically as a close-range specialist. Do they really need the satchel to be an effective unit? Not really, but I think the only reason you would need to remove the satchel was if their AI power was so oppressive that they were more of a AI specialist instead of a generalist unit which I don't think is the case. Lol If they couldn't crutch on 5 man Tommies they'd easily be tied with OST as worst faction currently IMO. Thread: Why does ost puma require battle phase 2?8 Apr 2019, 03:01 AM Main problem is that the fuel difference between StuG and Puma is so minimal that if you are going to tech BP2 then you might as well just stall for the extra 25 fuel to get StuG. Honestly I think the best way to make Puma work would be to make it side tech from Tier 2 like AEC and just cost it appropriately so that going for Puma is a conscious and deliberate decision to counter T70 and the likes. Thread: NEW COMMANDER PREVIEW - Version 3.0 changes3 Apr 2019, 18:43 PM I'm not too sure how the Forward Repair HQ is going to work out in terms of usefulness - how is it going to be any different from old Soviet/Brit FHQ? I feel like it's either going to be super fking obnoxious on certain maps or a complete joke on others because you can only upgrade some random wooden shack that's going to get flattened as soon as you upgrade it. I feel like you at least need the option to have a regular non-concrete bunker version of repair pioneers that mirrors the Soviet Industry repairs. In: Lobby
