Agreed. Ost spams Tiger not because it has to but it is the most effective option. Soviets outright depend in allins as their stock units are flat out bad at. There is a link to my thread in my signature where I propose a solution to the Soviet call in meta problem without reinventing the wheel. Making Ostwind worthwhile would also make StuG E less important while buffing Ost T3's red headed stepchild so it's win-win. Heavies need to be cost ineffective as right now they are low risk high reward. You shouldn't be limited, you should just be discouraged to get multiples. Higher popcap and a serious fuel nerf is the way forward. And then give Ace a lower but existent Fuel cost. In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: Another idea for the call in meta.26 Feb 2015, 12:26 PM Refer to my signature. I have a better idea to fix the call in meta problem, and it's simpler and more effective. Call-in meta is exclusively a Soviet issue that can be fixed in one fell swoop. The Ostheer equalivent of Tiger spam is less mandatory than it is a crutch, and it's more about how cost effective and easy to use heavy tanks are that entices people to spam them. After all nobody wants 3 meh units over 1 heavy that is both easier to use and survivable. It makes sense to save for a second Tiger/IS-2/King Tiger than get anything else and your idea is not a solution to that. In: COH2 Gameplay

Thread: Nerf Greyhound Canister Shot26 Feb 2015, 00:02 AM I think it can recieve a cost nerf (the performance is fine, it doesn't wipe squads that consistently) if the main gun is made into a usable flank weapon with great dps but poor penetration (so it can deal with infantry almost as well as the AAHT and really hurt tanks from the rear armor) or it recieves a fuel cost reduction. As it stands now, it exists for the canister shot, which CAN make you feel cheated, but definetely not as much as Rifle Grenades which are harder to detect in the heat of the battle and almost always deal far more damage over the game, even in a game where Greyhound and canister shot is used with abandon. Thread: Damn this balance25 Feb 2015, 23:57 PM Allied early-game advantage isn't very pronunced because the window gets shorter and shorter in team games. In 2v2, most of the time, Allies won't gain a significant portion of the map before LMG42 Grenadiers, which are better than or at the worst, equal to any Allied basic infantry unit, or simply Volksblobs will stall Allies long enough. HMG suppression goes a long way in delaying more and more. The window is tiny, and it's easy to stop people from being too aggressive early in the game. And after the first 3 minutes, Allies have zero advantage except on some maps where Urban Defense works. I can speak for myself and say that I do far better with Axis as there's no rush against time, and rarely do I ever get beaten early in the game because the enemy had some advantage. Most of the time, if that happens, the other player is simply better and I got outplayed. In: COH2 Balance

Yep. And adding mud would be great too, as Linden is a swampland partially. In: Lobby

I personally still think the situation is salvagable for CoH2. It's just that everyone has a different opinion and nobody at Relic seemingly has a bearing on where to head next. On a related note, please join the discussion in this thread as I feel these are important, simple but important, changes that will go a long way in fixing the game. I mean everyone, not you specifically. I would like to get as many opinions of this as I can, as chances are, if these get enough support, Relic will do something about them. Who knows right?
