After playing a bit with MOD:
Pioneers
5 men with a g43 and flamer from CP 2 is over the top imo and could prove really problematic.
Pioneers do not receive G-43, only an extra squad member. |
In the preview mod, in German Infantry Doctrine, Relief Infantry was removed instead of Tactical Movement. This is an error, right? |
I am happy that my vehicles will no longer do sick drifts when I want them to escape or flank.
And hey - double loot points, that's cool. |
The links are dead. Could you rehost them or, as wouren said, attach them directly to coh2.org so it won't happen again? |
If only it had a better penetration, then it would be at least comparable to ZiS-3 against medium tanks. Its utility gets thrown out of the window after the first Panzer IV. |
Yes, but half-tracks vet up so fast with their weapon upgrades that it won't that much of a difference unless the half-track is staying back in the mid-late game.
Good to know. Also, you answered so fast that you might not have noticed that I edited the previous post with additional question. |
I really like the halftracks shared veterancy change, something that was always lacking in original games. Does the shared veterancy stays even after upgrading the halftrack?
EDIT: Also, have you thought about swapping the M3 Halftrack in Halftrack Assault Group with M5 Halftrack? The ability is pretty lackluster, as is the whole Mechanized Company albeit I'm happy with your WC-51 change. |
Didn't P-47s have their accuracy nerfed like 9 months ago because they were apparently overperforming?
I remember times when Airborne Company was default pick for USF when Captain tier wasn't as good as it is now and it also had a solid late game anti-tank option with the P-47 loiter. Back then it was really useful against heavy tanks, less so against mediums because their speed allowed them to dodge rockets and quickly leave the target area.
Now, every time I see it, it does garbage damage. |
That is a good idea. And easy to implement.
Also, remember how they doubled all CP requirements in order to be able to fine tune. This is a similar approach.
I agree. If Relic really wants to keep the decimals, they can just multiply the player popcap and units popcap by 10, although I doubt they would do that.
Multiplying it by 2 is still good. |
Not sure what it stands for, but sbps is a tool in the editor that modifies things for a squad rather than an entity and is used for things like veterancy, model composition, formation, etc.
In the editor there's a population modifier that you can add to the squad itself rather than the entities that make it up. It's Grenadiers were worth 7 pop in the previous patch.
We just need to go back and modify the squad pops from there while allowing us to keep larger infantry units at 1 pop per model to avoid ridiculous numbers.
Oh right, sbps. Though adding popcap cost to them? That must be new, because I don't recall that one from vCoH. |
