Thread: A new solution to the Volksblob Issue13 Feb 2015, 16:31 PM Well by giving volks a faust upgrade they basically become slightly more durable grens, and Sturms just become glorified Panzergrens (which we all know how great those are!). And why would you blob Sturms? I don't know something about the fact Ostheer has the faust and a good AT gun and good AT vehicles but still blows because when dealing with fast mediums mobile AT is the name of the game. So if you want people to ALWAYS go Panther as Ostheer AND OKW as your end goal I guess that's fine, but it just seems stale and dumb to me that we need to make both axis factions more alike. And unless your giving volks a pretty major AI upgrade with the Pzfaust most people are just going to get shreks off the bat instead to stop the t34/Sherman rush that can be an issue for OKW. Allies have to micro hell of allot more than Axis player and just think of this as sharpening your skills. Honestly, I have became a better player by playing Allies than I ever did playing Osth in the opening days of COH2. I wish I ever had this feeling because beating a Axis or OKW team in the supposed ~super hard and unbalanced team games~ is just as easy as doing it in 2's. In: COH2 Balance

Throw smoke -> Obers will move back -> get out from smoke -> obers still have max range. And what options USF have? Rifles, Rifles, Rifles and yes, more Rifles! More than 1 thing can be bad at a time, both USF and OKW can both be poorly designed. And by moving back the Obers have given up cover and you will have a better time dealing with them, or they abandoned the point they were on so it's yours no. Making them retreat with out having to take damage is always a good thing. Some game's I won't fire more than 2-3 shots with my Sturmtiger, but every time it's about to fire It makes my enemy retreat which really adds up and costs them map control. In: COH2 Balance

Better AT inf, better AI inf, better AT gun, better light tanks, better heavy tanks. Did they win the war or I miss something? I'm fine with that if it was small difference but axis units are a way better. Allies have only better medium tanks but who cares inf just after your medium, Panther arrives? And occasionaly arty. Panzerfusi, Falsch, Jaeger. All doctrinal, with Fusiliers being in the best commander out of those 3. Scavenge is good, but it's not nearly as "good in every single game" like Fort and Breakthrough are. Luftwaffe is just bleh on any map that isn't urban. And Allies have plenty of things that are better; better call ins, better starting game infantry, the best blob counters in the game bar none. Allied indirect fire can make any game horrifyingly hellish for axis. Not to mention Soviets get the second best super heavy tank in the game which beats every single tank Ostheer or OKW can field barring the KT. Read my post again. Think about it. Join our quest to blame Relics atrocious OKW faction design for it. Soviets, USF, and OKW are all equally atrociously designed In: COH2 Balance

Because OKW has such a wealth of options to pick from, the Schwer has other infantry that can be made from it like: If you don't make Obers, basically the only other things you can make are Volks and Sturms! Heh dying like flies. Also 120 is higly RNG unit. It's very expensive and you can get 40kills thought game or 7. It's almost like they gave shocks a certain grenade that lets them close distance with out getting shot..... And the 120 is no more or less RNG than any indirect fire, save to say like any artillery piece you will have more like hitting emplacements than moving targets. Its so funny to see all the creative solutions. OKW player a - moves his 2 Obers in the meanwhile. There is a reason why OKW is so heavily discussed. Maybe give OKW more options then?
