so they make call in changes, quite a few RNG changes, mediums are becoming more viable, and people still think the game is gonna be the same? cmon guys. just because you had the taste of something more in the alpha doesnt mean the new patch is going to be the same as the previous one.

At the moment I feel like Volks are just kinda there without a real purpose besides meat shield/panzerschreck mule in the OKW lineup. I've come up with a teching-tied system to diversify their purpose.
1. All Volks will be equipped with MP44's on semi auto at the start of the game, replacing their 98k's. This makes them similar to USF rifles, but the smaller caliber of the 44 will give them less DPS, allowing rifles to still win at every range.
2. The first truck emplaced will unlock the panzerschreck and a squad-level or global upgrade (not sure what either variant would cost yet) that allows the MP44's to go to 4-5 round bursts for volks without shrecks ONLY. Volks with shreck receive an AT grenade snare ability.
3. The Panzer HQ unlocks the ability for burst fire volks to go full auto (again not sure if it should be global or squad based or the price) and the shreck volks receive the ability to purchase another shreck at a reduced price (~60 muni maybe?).
With this system the volks will proabably be due a MP price hike, but MP isn't really a problem OKW has anyway. Let me know what you guys think. |
Why the exception for the teller mine? The teller does not blow up on infantry and already does double the damage of the T-35/Shu. Why should those get a chance for heavy engine crit and T35/Shu not?

Is there a counter to ass gren spam into stug E? People say AA halftrack, but that's not really a reality when your fuel is getting cut off every 30 seconds by roving assgren blobs.

So assuming you pick Rifle Co. from the start, is it faster to get the second regular rifle or wait for the veteran timer to expire? |
I've stopped control grouping my infantry and only using control groups for units I want to micro alot or I consider important (vehicles, snipers mainly)
I find doing that helps me think of my infantry separately and since COH doesn't require insane starcraft esq apm I don't lose any real control. It also helps me keep my head up and watching units over the whole field as oppposed to tunnel visioning on my infantry in one tiny portion of the map.

Control groups, and/or limiting them to 2-3 squads per group,and then using TAB(no pun intended, ) key to cycleselect through units to spread them out.
