Don't let the charts fool you, top players know how to counter almost everything. If we take the player base outside of the 250 top range, things will go south very quickly.
We can't deny that certain factios are more noob proof and easier to win with than others. Above the top 250, skill level varies enormously, which makes exploiting noob friendly factions all the more potent. To add to this, having non linear factions, means we have certain factions that have a disadvantage tech wise from the very beginning, just for the sake of a unique feeling to the game. This in combination with the teching of the noob friendly factions, is a recipe for balance disasters.
That's because someone who can't reach top 250 in this game is absolutely clueless about its basic mechanics. There aren't even 250 active players. Rank >250 is basically bronze level in other games. Even Top 50 players can be really bad. I'd say that from rank 25 upwards there's a pretty decent skill level the ranks below that are occupied by people who don't fully understand this game. (I'm not talking about apm or anything like that, I'm talking about troop movement, decision making and similar things) |
Are you serious ? Blobbing with OKW or merica are strategic choice ? When with infatry you can break line, just move with blob into mg or infatry position.
I am serious. And most of the time splitting your troops up is the superior tactic. In some situations however so called "blobbing" (aka focusing all your firepower on a part of your opponents defense) makes alot of sense and is thus a strategic choice. How ridiculous is it to expect your opponent to move his troops in a certain "morally acceptable" way ? Think about it. It's an UTTERLY RIDICULOUS attitude.

You're a sore loser. I remember playing you before and you started whining about balance stuff even though you didn't stand a chance and lost the entire map in 10 minutes. Also blobbing is a strategic choice that needs to be respected as such unlike ghost wire for example. Paul is a really good player who has the tendency to behave like an idiot and abuse certain broken game mechanics (ghost wire). People like you who are convinced that they're more reasonable than others even though they are actually just sore losers are much worse. |
Shermans are fine I just still haven't fully understood how to properly use the ammo switch feature. It makes the tank so much harder to use :/ The problem as USF in the late game is that they don't have any reliable anti tank unit vs P4 and Panzer4. You simply don't have enough dps to ever kill them. Luckily the eternal shitness of volks compensates for that. |
I like the new kübel. It's way less annoying than the old version and is a very unique unit that no other faction has. |
Cool cast, imo i like Joves move with falsh, with panther when he kill 2 shermans and how he play with raketen and vehicles. Gia was good, good early game, but 2 at gun dont help and paper tank jackson with 480 hp. But in late game it was simple game vs OKW, vs there vet system.

Well, my gameplay tends to fall apart after the 20 minute mark because I have huge trouble focusing for such a long time and Jove is also a better player than me in general so I wouldn't say that I lost because of OKWs late game power but rather because my opponent had more endurance and skill. |
Can you explain to me why you took the priest doctrine? It seems that it offers little benefit compared to the calliope, you can even get the m5 halftrack for strong mid game anti infantry with the calliope commander.
Also how do you play USF on maps with a ton of buildings. On arnhem or semoskiy I literally can't beat rank 75+ players if they spam volks/grens in buildings. The worst is if OKW can get 4 volks and 2 mgs it seems so robust to everything before a sherman comes if there are enough buildings.
Also I watched this game live, it was a treat.
The answer is quite simple actually, I don't have the calliope commander ^^
Since the recent Rifle Company nerf USF has a pretty significant disadvantage compared to the axis factions when it comes to house fights because OKW has flame grenades and OH has flamethrowers while the US doesn't have a single reliable building counter so the best thing you can do is vetoing as many urban maps as possible. |
