"In an announcement on Facebook today, King Art unveiled the project, being built for PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One. Details are scant, but Kig Art has said the game will feature a dynamic storyline and open, sandbox-style levels. It will also feature cover mechanics and dynamic destruction pitting infantry units against towering mechs. Inspirations include the Company of Heroes and Men at War series."
"This leads to the idea that this could possibly resemble a squad based tactics RTS like company of heroes, Dawn of War 2 or it could be a hybrid. We also can assume that if a cover system is going to be in play we are likely talking smaller armies of units rather than Starcraft 2 level of battles."
There was an interview with the guys behind the game. Long story short, they praised coh series and wanted to implement a lot of the game play ideas to Iron-Harvest.
For the democharge, make it an upgrade in the HQ, like the USA has in vcoh. 100mp 50 fuel. This way, you can either go for a fast t70 or try your luck with the demos. Lets your opponent adapt aswell.
Other idea, let demos be planted only next to buildings and walls, again, from vcoh.
Or combine the both. Right now, playing against soviets is frustrating, losing squads to a 90 muni ability.
