OKW Panther has better MGs and accuracy than the Ost Panther. KT > Tiger I. And so on. I think at least the PGs and Panther could be buffed to OKW standards. They still would lack the possibility to get 5 levels of vet. In: COH2 Balance

Axis players see Panther as this anti every tank monster while in the reality it should only be built against heavy armour, against which it performs extremely well due to its reliable penetration. Against medium tanks however, Panther's rate of fire makes it ineffective. You really are better off building PzIV and StuGs respectively. Which leaves the Panther exactly one unit to counter: The IS-2. KV-1, KV-2, KV-8, ISU-152, Churchill, Croc, AVRE, Pershing can all be penetrated easily by StuGs and still somewhat by Panzer IVs. Take into account that there are usually more Panzer IVs and/ or StuGs available and the Panther serves no purpose. What Axis players want is a vehicle that fulfills its AT role. Not a vehicle that counters one unit in the vehicle bracket and performs meh versus the others. It´s weakness (Ostheer one) is the lack of good AI. Better than what SU-85, Firely and Jackson have yet those have 60 range and are mobile AT guns. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Ostheer 24 Jun 2016, 23:02 PM The Brummbär is quite good now but comes too late. Also one effective vehicle in T4 doesn´t make me build it, so usually you should stick with T3 into Tigers. But the Tiger build was also indirectly nerfed with the Allied TD adjustments. Ostheer still lacks its lategame strenght. Panzerwerfer and especially Panther need something. In the early game you still need to depend on the Sniper abuse (which has also been nerfed) to stay relevant with Ostheer which is quite a gamble. Team games with OKW are also harder due to the huge nerfs to OKW. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: High ranked ft. a 112 Kill Sniper24 Jun 2016, 22:15 PM Holy shit. These players almost had us with excellent Conscript charges and Sherman swarms. With StuGs, OKW Panzer IVs and the Sniper managed to claw back our way into the almost lost game for some battles around the VPs. The game was quite exhausting. WP to the opponents though I´m still not sure whether Zansibar was trying to troll and where all that manpower came from. In: Replays
Thread: OKW armors cost should be reverted24 Jun 2016, 11:00 AM The only OKW vehicle that regularily reaches vet 4 or 5 is the Panzer IV. I can count on one hand how often I had a vet 5 Panther or Jagdpanzer IV. In: COH2 Balance

The Ostheer 125 fuel Panzer IV loses to 110 fuel Cromwells. The Ostheer Panther is regarded garbage by many except the Allied fan-train. It can´t engage cost efficiently. The OKW vehicles can actually fulfill their role due to better stats. That doesn´t mean however that they are cost effective. They both come 25 fuel more expensive to fulfill a role that the vanilla Ostheer vehicles should fulfill but can´t. This means you are stuck with either performing vehicles for a too high cost or weak units for an average cost. In: COH2 Balance
