Thread: USF vs OKW11 Aug 2015, 10:24 AM Not a pro of 2vs2 but you should combine your strength with your mate, if you go heavy rifles, he is going T2 and and whatever his BO is, putting an early Zis in it. Bazookas don't counter well the flak-truk, unless you have good covers. What you need to do is using your zooks as a defensive scarecrow until he does a wrong path. In 1vs1, lately vs OKW I play really aggressively 4/5 rifles to cpt + Atgun + stuart and focus his building. Objective is to kill his T1/T2 before he get too strong. That a bit of a all-in when I'm ready, I let him cap all the map if he wants to but I move everything, ambulance included to get his building down. Its fun to play In: US Forces Strategies

If you wait for a P4 to counter an Atgun on tracks, you probably deserve to lose. We all know the quad need to be nerf in some ways, no need to put it on the table again and again... Thread: Undo Soviet T3 before T4 requirement11 Aug 2015, 07:26 AM Don't understand the aim of the topic, if you don't want to build T3 units and rush T4, just do it. See the T3 as a resource tax to be able to unlock T4. Tiers prices has been reduced, before it was almost impossible to build T3+T4 + units. Now it is possible with the only downside to build every time T3 even if you want to rush T4. In: COH2 Balance

I will have 5+ riflemen and opt to rush out a Stuart than an ambulance, I feel like I NEED to put that pressure on the enemy. Hell there are more than a few games where I don't build an ambulance at all, don't tech nades or BARs. Are the above 'unwritten' rules set in stone, are they detrimental to success, and if so at what stage should it be done? Should I sacrifice my Stuart for 1 minute longer as I build an ambulance and heal my squads? Should I tech BARs before CPT, delaying it by almost half but gaining a firepower advantage early game? When, what and why should you tech for the now vs teching for the long game as I feel this is whats letting me down in the majority of my losses. If you don't adapt to the map/opponent build/doctrine you're not going to do anything good. The unwritten rule is simply #adapt. Okay it's really apparent you don't play Axis because the 222 can't counter any light vehicle in the game except the M3 and M20. The issue is Axis has no soft anti tank to counter light vehicles; it just has hard AT meant to counter medium tanks. Which means that Allied light vehicles enjoy a period of time of counter free existence since they can easily avoid the unwieldy AT options afforded early on to OKW and Ost. I fail to see how more options could be added outside of new upgrades, but I guess you can keep on accusing half the player base of being evil and desiring "1 unit counters" Roflmao, who need a soft AT when you can have a hard AT tier 2. Build a pak. 222 is a light unit that counter light units, it is a dedicated AT light unit countering dedicated AI light units. The unit isn't aimed to counter by itself medium vehicles but you can use it in combination with other AT units. Too hard for you? and you call yourself a good player Like Katikif says, it has been meta for Allied faction for months facing early Puma/Luch/Ostwind. This is probably why it doesn't seem incredibly hard to manage for people playing Allied factions. In: COH2 Balance

No, but using combined arms is for some people. To counter a Stuart or a M5 you need a pack/raken + Shreck/pfaust + 222/puma. And for some people here, it is too hard to manage. Why? Simple because the M5 is going against a certain idea of how Axis faction are supposed to work = 1 strong unit counter its Allied counter part by itself. Combined arms are only use to support each other AI/AT. Here the M5/Stuart force you to combine early AT arms to kill it. What Alex is simply proposing is to remove this anomaly in the meta by giving Ost/OKW a new 1 type of unit hard-counter by itself his opponent. In: COH2 Balance

If I want an early mortar, it is to deal damage like Sov and Ostheer mortars, not to only smoke salmons. USF already have his non-dealing-any-damage unit and it called RE squad. No need for another one. Now, if Rifle need anything, it is a buff for their mid and late scaling. Improving their accuracy on the move and received accuracy with vet. In: COH2 Gameplay
