And every* medium TD does 160 damage. Why not make the Su-85, Stug and Jp4 do 200 damage as well? Why does the m36 get to eat its cake and have it too?

1. 40 and 50 respectively.
2. Will hit the StuG G 60% of the time at maximum if it is stationary. 69% vs the Panzer IV.
4. Infantry-based AT such as ATGs or Shrecks are its hardest counters. Panthers and StuG Gs end up in the soft counter role since both units combat each other, though they also hardcounter the other two units in the USF Major tier. In a slugfest a StuG G should still win vs the Jackson due to its rate of fire should you close at an odd angle or catch it by surprise. I guess mass mediums could also work depending if the Jackson gets any pricer where it's not cost effective to mass Jacksons against medium tank groups.
Of course the issue is distance, but our main thing will likely be adjust the Jackson's accuracy at this point so it's less viable against medium tanks.
My personal thing is that I want to improve Panther and PIV but the usual scope locks us out. I tried to get the Panther in as a TD/TH to no avail.

This recreates the problem of the Jackson being out of combat after just 1 shot allowing axis heavy tanks free hunting among USF troops.

Penetration vs Armor value has them evenly matched, as it should be, because USF doesn't have anything better than the Sherman without Commanders.
USF only unit that can spot, without doctrines, is the M20.
Such a unit doesn't fit the USF Agressive playstyle, is why the M10 is usually superior in 1vs1, which you should know if you played it... Unless this is the playercard of your smurf account.
Just because I only play USF doesn't mean my input should be disregarded!
So sherman vs p4 is 50/50, while costing less than p4 and having way superior anti inf (HE rounds, superior .50 cal and fighting mostly smaller squads (4man and HE rounds is fearsome combination)
So jackson is not better than stug because it requires vision? Range is the best stat a TD can have. Try screening with the superior usf infantry? |
In which case you have gained map control, which you should use to your advantage. Ideally that includes capture points, otherwise it will mean you will have made a dent in his frontline that you should use to manoeuvre a spearhead into his flanks.

But conscripts are not worth it cost effectiveness wise. Most recent
patch gives them a -50% accuracy nerf on equipped weapons? (includes PPSH)

Penals have been nerfed from original and had their flamethrowers removed.
Giving them PTRD rifles was so it wouldn't be auto guard commander all the
time.
Penals were not a problem before. "Maxim spam was". And the Penals were
stronger (and so were the conscripts!) then. Why have you only just now
discovered this?
When I play Germany, I know what soviets are capable of, and eat them alive.
I find - very - amusing, when you talk of Penals + Mortars in same sentence.
"I know MGs hard counter Penals, but Soviets can counter MGs with mortars"

Nerfing allies endlessly ... is problematic.
Platying Germany is much more noob friendly.
PS2 : German equivalents are always better. But Soviets get them slightly earlier.

As for Luch being useless, all light vehicles were nerfed vs AI recently. ALL of them.
Even Allied ones. The Luch is one of those that were the least nerfed. Overall, this lead
to Penals being perceived as problematic where they were not before.
Un-nurf Luch, you need to un-nerf Quad AA Halftrack and others... which ends up german inf being
raped harder and so on.
I really would not advice new players to play ostheer.(because germans so noob friendly)
Do you know how i spot biased fanboys? They think axis=axis but axis=okw+ostheer. They first of these 2 can be played by a monkey atm, the second one on the other hand is pretty sure the thoughest faction to play because of various reasons( i can list them if you really want too).
