Epic fail. Scotts, T70s, skirted M8s, and all 3 AA halftracks get 2 shotted. Stuart was 2 shotted until very recently. The only one I was wrong about was Luchs dying in two shots, something else must have shot it off screen. I was competing at a decent level in coh1 before I even took time to study up on the higher level meta game just because I was out microing most the people I played at around 70apm on a notebook running the game at 20fps. TL;DR my micro > yours and most likely anyone else in this thread that told me to improve my micro.
Cough, T70 can survive 2 shots with the usage of crew repairs. Also, AAHTs are by definition not light tanks, and Scotts are mobile mortars, not tanks.
Light armor is perfectly survivable as is. Maybe T70 could use a buff to 400HP, but I doubt it. |

Valentine is a doctrinal light tank, and the scout car is a puma. It makes sense that they have smoke, just like their axis equivalents.
The mediums have the smoke shells as a more offensive ability that they shoot the shell at. it's not nearly the same as the get out of jail instant ability that is panzer tactician.
The Churchill smoke is for supporting infantry. I'm fairly certain it doesn't work well to retreat through (tank is slower).
And again, it's not like it matters. For all we know it could all be different now. |
I'm seeing the Sturmtiger justified "because it punishes blobbing." However, as pointed out many times in the past, there are 2 types of blob counters:
-High Damage AOE weapons that will damage units in a large area.
-Suppression weapons that will slow and make combat ineffective enemy blobs.
The problem with high damage AOE weapons like the B4, ISU, Sturmtiger, and Demo charge, is that they work against blobs, but ALSO delete single squads just as effectively.
I would honestly like to see all of these kind of weapons removed from the game, but more realistically, I think these kind of weapons should not wipe squads nearly as well. Make them deal high damage over a wide area, but not enough to completely kill single models. Give them bonus damage to vehicles and the ability to pin to compensate.
Single shot squad wipe weapons are cancer in this game that already has lots of squad wipes from RNG. On top of that, anyone who defends one form while hating another is just blatantly being biased. Either you hate all of them, or you think they are ALL fine. |
Here's the breakdown of how UKF medium armor worked; it's the inverse to all other factions. You best more expensive tanks are all mediums, you cheapest and weakest tanks are all heavies. Although I should say the Churchill is by no means "weak" at all.
The most scary part of UKF is the insanely powerful scaling; with every tank basically having blitz and smoke as a part of vet as well as other powerful abilities.
Blitz and smoke aren't vet. Smoke shells come on two tanks stock, and blitz is a hammer unlock for your engies. |
When I go encirclement, I get 2 grens, 2 mg, and a mortar in T1, then build 2 storms for the STGs. This is especially good now that the 222 comes with the autocannon, so light vehicles (besides to M5) are less of a threat. Usually I pop the storms into "enemy" buildings before I upgrade them, so They can get vet. |

Ostruppen get rekt so hard due to 1.25 received accuracy. They were nice when they had shit dps, but could absorb hits and crew weapons. But now anything you recrew keep the 1.25 received acc. On top of everything else OP said.
Either reduce cost 180 mp. Or remove 25% increased received accuracy. Or lower it.
Storms, make stgs 50 muni.
They have 1.25 armor as well. This means that they are more survivable than conscripts vs. Rifles and smgs, but less survivable vs. Mgs. |

It has like 20 less penetration while having extremely good accuracy versus infantry (scatter that is)
It also has a better ROF and a worse armor value. I think it may be marginally faster too (definitely faster with vet). |
