Buff conscripts directly you get something similiar to Elbe day where conscripts just rush out without getting killed properly (no idea why). That's why cons need a buff for vet 2. So they have a better fighting chance. Dont Cons already get a +40% Accuracy buff at V2? And again, what is the relevance of Cons in a Maxim topic thread? If Cons need adjustment, isnt that another matter for another thread? Greeb: Im pretty sure I remember you being against all the Maxim changes that it has ever gotten. You say they are fine now. Why then where you against all the other changes to them before? In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Maxim Spam11 Aug 2014, 13:41 PM I don't see this "concensus" of high level players that maxims are fine. I see exactly the opposite being said by many high level players. That Maxims are not fine. The only people I see saying "maxims are fine", are people with almost 100% Sov playercards. In: COH2 Balance

Thread: LMGs11 Aug 2014, 11:19 AM Well, thats sort of what LMG is supposed to do. Its an AI forcemultiplier weapon. Its meant to kill enemy infantry. That is all it does. It has no other function. You seem to want it nerfed completely out of usefulness. As I explained above, changing the LMG dmg from 1 model focus to generalised dmg, as Cruzz has suggested, fixes the problems you stated in your previous post. There is no "alpha" left anymore in it. Even vs multiple LMGs all targets survive with more models infact, and hence are capable of returning fire for longer. I still don't get what your point really is. As to "ease of use", well LMGs still carry an internal setup timer. So not sure what you mean. Positioning is everything with them, and you generally can't fire on the move. In: COH2 Balance

Thread: LMGs11 Aug 2014, 10:28 AM Tbh I'm not sure what your counterpoint is. Per your scenario, currently, 4 LMGs will rip each model to pieces individually. In the change, the 4 LMGs would spread the dmg. You would have more time to engage/retreat with models intact, than now, even against 4 LMGs. So even in the extreme situation of 4 LMGs, the situation is improved, compared to now. In: COH2 Balance

Shouldn't core infantry be doing the most of the fighting instead of say 6 Machine guns. I dont see how changing Cons somehow magically fixes Maxims. I dont see how nerfing a unit necessarily and for good reason, suddenly magically means another unit needs to buffed. People seem to be trying to make a "deal" out of fixing a necessary thing.
