I don't think I've ever had an actually fun game on Semoskiy Summer. The cheesiest, most annoying map there is. Garrison heavy + awful pathing + horrible chokepoints = cancer. Map did not translate at all from coh1. Unsalvageable without completely reworking the entire map. And there is still a second version of it....
My second vote goes to Lost Glider, for similar reasons.
For someone who spams this and the official forums with an absurd # of posts, many of them quite controversial and others being outright incorrect, it's highly cowardly of you to hide behind anonymity. You should post your playercard not because sinthe asked you, but because it appears you live for CoH2 seeing that you have nearly 10000 posts on this forum. You claim a while ago that your top 150 in OKW 2v2, well show us your playercard then. I recall Imperial Dane casted a 2v2 a while ago with a player named Katitoff and nobody was impressed by that player's performance according to the comments section.
You can check his uploaded replays to see his playercard
Do you think that a puma i a reliable choice wuth mech truck in the place of the luch ? kike paired with mg's and volks. for 1v1 and 2v2 btw.
You could get a luchs and then a puma to deal with USF, but it's just not cost effective when you could get medics and a flak track, stall until pIV. Flak + rak + medics is cheaper and will last you all game. Much less risky too. Mech would only work out if the opponent doesn't prepare at all for light vehicles. If they go a doctrine with no AT gun drop, no greyhound, and went LT tech and skipped weapon upgrades, you could possibly annihilate him with a luchs. Just way too risky and short lived to be worth it. Once they get zooks on RE you go back to being at the mercy of the AA halftrack.
Bullets aren't physical objects in the game like explosive shots, the effects are purely visual. It's based 100% on accuracy dice rolls.
Most infantry automatic weapons have a chance to hit another model in the surrounding area. If the shot misses, it will roll again once with accuracy to hit another model. It's really obvious when you fight against the kubel or sturmpios early game where they leave you with low health squads but no models lost. Also MG suppression is increased against more models in an area. These really can't be controlled for, don't worry about it. Spreading out a squad wont have much of an effect, the area is big enough that it wont matter.
Volks do 12 dmg with high accuracy.
Grens do 16 with very high accuracy.
Rifles do 8 with great RoF and decent accuracy.
Rifles are pretty aggressive inf with their dmg profile and veterancy focused on survivability.
Not to distract from your point, but grens have lower accuracy than volks to offset the high damage. They always go for headshots

Lame that Lolic put sangbags on some units and not others.
Well, yes. There is difference between units. Once you start homogenizing things, it doesn't stop.
soon every army has T0 4x man machine guns (even Soviets) with AP ammo.
soon every army has 5x Model Squad Armies (Even Soviets) with 2x upgrades
(2x Bar, 2x Bren, 2x LMG42)(Bren are buffed to MG42 levels, so are BAR. Bar can't fire on move)
soon USF has Sherman E8 non-doctrinal for cost of Panther. With Panther stats.
soon SoV has T34-85 non-doctrinal for cost of Panther. With Panther stats.
This is what I don't get. People want a balanced game, but everyone's idea of balance is
that they want to keep their strenghts on their pet faction, but want the opposing faction
's strenghts removed, because " I love scissors, and rocks crush scissors ".
All this bitching is never going to end until all factions are entirely mirror stats.
The Commanders, too.
No, my apologies. Bitching won't stop even then (! Why do USF have Sherman with same stats
as Panther? Panther raped Shermans historically) Sigh...
... But don't you want 5x Model Squads with G43s... that cost 280, not 240.
And losing bunkers. (USF also losing fighting position)(Unless they both can get the
same one, even soviets and british having their MG bunkers).
- Panthers that can de-crew and repair/cap flags.
- Shermans E8s being non-doctrinal and having 100% Panther stats and costs.
All have it or none.
You need to decide.
Are you okay with accepting that factions are different, and some have strenghts that others don't?
Or... do you want everything to be the same?
Please decide:
A - I want all factions to be nerfed hard, except my pet faction.
B - I want all factions to be the same. COMPLETELY the same (Except uniforms, looks)
C - I accept asymmetric balance, and that some units will be different than others, and
that ultimately, that will lead to a different playing style for each faction.
I think everyone should put on their profile, here, and it being tagged onto every
post and reply that they make in which camp they belong.
I prefer as it is now, but the bitching is insane.
So I propose C for custom, and B for Ranked PVP automatch. This way, skill would prevail,
and people would finally stop bitching about balance.
Add to this an effort to make each unit uselful, in some way. Way too many units
are underused, or become useless as time goes on.
I don't like that you quoted me for this rant, I have been very strongly against homogenization since the beginning.
I don't like that green cover sandbags are on mainline infantry, it makes positioning more trivial and cheapens strategic thinking. It was fine on conscripts because they are weak at long range and designed to be mobile. I don't think they should be removed from volks and tommies, but I wish the factions were designed better at the beginning to not require them.
FYI I want C, it's completely possible if the game is well designed.
Just like axis cry babies do the very same thing with UKF, eh?
OKW and UKF were designed based on annoying gimmicky units like the suppressing kubels and the emplacements.
OKW is older and has had most of the cancer cut out by now, UKF still has a ways to go.
