Axis need much less skill to play properly in 3v3/4v4 than Allies. Axis can seat there with their op mortars stukas and 5 vet squads which eventually will win game for them even without op tanks they waiting for, while allies need constantly apply pressure in hope they inflict enough loses to have chance in late game. After some point its not even about micro, macro, rng and adaptation but about game sense to the point where allied player should predict engagement outcome almost perfectly and see situation on the map as a whole.
Before balancing game Relic should add more commanders, coz 6 commanders per fraction compared to what sov and wehr have is laughable. Allied war machine, rangers, different paratroopers commander (recon paras is a joke), different easy eight and priest commanders and other stuff to improve USF availability in team games. OKW probably need a doctrinal motorcycle or other light vehicle to have chance against sov snipers in 1v1. Also i hope to see Goliaths and flak 88. |

Lets check:
Troop training is overnerfed and complete joke compared to what elite rifle proposes.
Stun grenade retreat stooping bug aside is nice, but almost useless if your opponent can dodge grenades.
G 43 highly situational, mostly bad.
Panzer tactician still good.

I use sov snipers a lot in 3v3/4v4 and know how to counter them, speaking of counters mortars is sucky and unreliable way to do so, because, usually, i can dictate where snipers is, not OKW player. And if OKW camping hardcore katy and b-4 make wonders.
Still, sov snipers unreasonably survivable to well executed flanks with their retarded sprint. Same as German tanks blitz, except blitz more justified than sprint on snipers.
I just pointed on fact game have more serious balance problems than flak hq. Aside form snipers, AoE weapons efficiency with recent infantry grouping change is good example of those problems. |
While some things about flak hq may be debatable, they overshadowed by big margin by other disbalances, and, imo, nerfing it makes as much sense as reducing soviet squads by 4 man and making USF tech separate from free lieutenant/captain/major.

Snipers, b-4, ISU, mines, demo charges - anything to counter German strength of excellent armor, deadly vetted infantry and insane repair speed. Generally you need to punish axis and punish them hard or play ultra-aggressive and inflict constant drain. If you lose pressure for amount of time axis need to stabilize, its gg.
Thing is, Initial loses doesn't matter that much for axis. You can wipe 2-3 squads in first ten minutes and until those squads were upgraded schreck volks or lmg grens, their loss will hardly impact game flow. But, in return, when late game comes, losing tanks and vetted infantry turns devastating. Losing Jagd or panthers early usually makes axis loss.
Just don't let any kind of advantage fool you, and always expect axis to comeback with their op late-game stuff. |
If Relic want to left ISU manual targeting they should significantly buff turn rate and firing animation because its almost impossible to hit moving targets with ISU right now.
Meanwhile JT hits moving tanks pretty easily. |
Cover change is amazing. Infantry no longer runs out and get suppressed in green cover all the time.
Flak half-track really good now, always hits and wipes squads left and right.
ISU destroyed. Given slow turn rate and fire animation it almost impossible to hit not only moving tanks but even infantry.
On the other hand, if i not mistaken, JT were buffed. Turn rate and mobility seems a lot better, its not that hard to hit moving tanks with little prediction thanks to excellent firing animation, and JT no longer dazed from hits (but thats maybe because i played with JT against Wehrmacht and OKW). |
