Deleting units is a stupid and wasteful idea in a game with so few models to use.

The 76mm is mostly fine as is and the EZ8 is decent enough. (Why it got nerfed I have no idea)

No one needs this tank, except the Soviet. It is not so good, it is not interested in anything to keep the slot in the mechanized doctrine.

In my opinion this has indeed more to do with the fact that all the other USF vehicles are very very good for their price. The 76 mm is just okay for its price. Like the cromwell is.

USF already have Ez8

Why does the USF need two 76mm Sherman versions?

The Soviets don't have Sherman, so it doesn't matter if there's a 76mm Sherman model, but it's not USF

And nobody use Ez8 because this tank doesnt do well AT or AI either

fucking slow and expensive.....the ez8 is penetrated by aix's all AT weapons with a high probability

Poor anti-infantry capacity slows the Ez8's vet stacking speed and high price makes hard to build more 2

Although the t34-85 has lower specs than the Ez8, it can make several units at a lower price and its great infantry capabilities

In addition, the lack of penetration can be overcome with Mark Target Skills and many quantities, making t34-85 a valuable unit

Ez8

Is the long distance penetration excellent? No

Can the insufficient far-distance penetration be supplemented by a large number? No
Does the rifle company have the skills to support Ez8? No

Ez8 is similar to OKW's Pz4J, good at both roles but master of none.

Pz4j is master of AI (scatter bonus in vet bonus) and have high armor

The ez8 has nothing compared to T 34-85.

I am sure Ez8 will win against Pz4J in one on one case.

1vs1 is pointless

In terms of overall operation, Ez8 is not very cost effective

armor : free-pass to axis AT weapon

speed : not fast, acceleration is not good,

moving accuracy : all USF mediums have high moving accuracy and that doesn't make the Ez8 special

moving scatter : Ez8 (5.4/10.8), 75mm sherman(5/10), Pz4j(5.54/11.08, having scatter vet bonus)

T34-85(5/10)

Ez8 having better moving scatter? No

penetration : only effective for pz4

no support skill for Ez8

hard to make more than 2

Even if there are two, they are unilaterally damaged by the panther

If you're picking up an ez8 to face pz4, you're good enough to use 75mm sherman.

All these premium mediums are only good against panzer4 and thats ok but for me problem is that E8 or 76 are bad against infantry meantime t34/85 melt infantry

u know axis at gun have similar or worse pen (tds) than allies right ?

speed is similar to other medium

u said to t34 85, it does not have the same moving acc

Sherman easy 8 if i remember has a bonus scatter on the move, that was nerfed a bit too

Not really Easy8 will beat a OKW easily.

It has equally good armor, more HP, crew, smoke launcher and superior AT gun +3 mgs and the pintle is superior to that of the Panther. The unit is fine for its cost.

I would trade panzer H for a easy clone in heart beat.

It was somewhat OP as a call-in. Now it just occupies this strange niche between a standard Sherman and a Jackson. It would be nice if they used this as the model for a Sherman Jumbo, especially if it was a 76mm Jumbo, which was somewhat rare but not any more rare than a lot of other units in COH2.

I didnt really dislike the call-in medium tank meta, it was the heavy tank call-in the most problematic.

S76 was clearly a call-in tank, hence why it was mediocre. As it is now its an AT/AI upside down compared to standard shermans, they have an edge on AI and S76 have a little edge on AT. If you can pair them and micro them well you get a nice firepower/utility/cost ratio.

S76 are not spearhead tanks though, those are the most valuable for allied overall, USF not having real heavy tanks always depend on logistics and good support to push back enemy lines. Riflemen also do the heaviest work there. If E8 got firepower adjusted and armor buffed it could become a worthy spearhead tank.

competitive wise S76 are to be paired with either jacksons or other tank. The bonus the S76 grant as a unit is adaptability and better reaction to enemy openings.

No, Pak40 has better penetration than M1 57mm and Zis.

Ez8s main gun is just too inconsistent against inf. I also feel like its acceleration or speed could be improved as the panther already beats it up but can also easily chase it down.

76 im just not sure about in 2v2 and up its pretty worthless, the extra micro tax of switching rounds plus the low hp make it a bit lackluster. I do use it in 2v2 sometimes because it can work with cav rifles on some maps with there potent early/close quarters game giving you a early fuel advantage and having the satchel charges that make up for some of the lost AT. Usually tho i will still get the reg sherman first, then accompany it with the 76mm with hvap on, but getting a jackson behind the 75 is probably more effective. Maybe if they let the 76mm get dozer blades as well would make it more interesting.
