What do people think of Conscripts after the patch?

but conscripts being trash certainly doesnt help
even when cons have ppshs the maxim is leaps and bounds better because the enemy cant just close with impunity.
its all an eco system mate, cons HAVE to be viable or it will be maxim spam like it was or penal spam like it is now.


Yes, that's a good point. There's basically 3 starting units and for the longest time the meta was to spam one of them. That may be related to how soviet tech Is a relatively big investment for a second 0 build decision. You need to get a lot out of it or you are losing already.

What if u spread the upgrade in 2 for tier 3 and 4 ? U divide the extra man and the bonus to vet and cd in 2 tiers
The 7th Man U would get it at tier 4 for 30 munitions and in tier 3 u get free global cd and vet bonus ?
If it’s too strong make it an upgrade for 10 fuel and something mo

Doesn't any help at early game……Maybe can detach this upgrade and move the buff to HQ upgrade,
like upgrade Medic ,Cons refinement cost reduce to 17
upgrade Molotov,Cons can get more EXP
upgrade AT grenade,Cons get in cover bouns

could even split up each component into upgrades in each f the tiers
in t2 you can do cheaper reinforcment to push merging with maxims, t1 maybe put the 7th man, this makes t2 again focused on infantry combat primarily adn makes a choice for munitions on ptrs or increased model count on cons. t3 add the exp buff. t4 could be something like all abilities are a bit cheaper (since oorah is 2x the price of sprint and molitovs are not cheap anymore either.

ideally each tier would even have more, conscript focused upgrades to tie them as the ever evolving spine of the faction.

Yeah,I think maybe build T1 unlock Cons ppsh upgrade,use 1 slot,give 3 ppsh and increase squad size to 7 and molotov replace by grenade,and commander ability ppsh replace by DP LMG,allowed Cons upgrade 2x can't drop dp,also allowed penal upgrade 2x moving shot DP

Not free. Purchased for a small fee like molitovs and AT nades. Basicly make cons modular.

It could come as a t1/2 required upgrade (imagine capt and lt) + a reduction of cost of T3... that ways 7 man cons have the same timing as lmg grens without affecting T70 or T3 timings

hmm? the soviets tech by building not by battlephase... id rather put it as a T1/T2 upgrade for say 55 fuel... link T3 to that upgrade then reduce T3 to 30 fuel... that ways u can't rush a T-70 but at the same time the 7th man comes out at the same time as the gren

We are talking of SU, of course teching is achieved when buildings are finished and I meant about that.

A 55 fu upgrade in t2 is not the same as a 20 fu upgrade locked until t3 is built. People will complaint it's too expensive or it comes too early the way you put it.

55 + 20/10 fuel puts it slightly more expensive but on par with the 40 + 15 fuel for BP 1/t1

mmhhh maybe something like this:

when tier 1 2 and 3 are built cons get 17 reinforce cost, reduced time to reinforce and the bonus in cover for 40 mun

when tier 4 is built (regardless of the other tech) u get free 7th man and 20% vet bonus

No, not interesting. 7th person must be T2 requirement. If you play T1, then you play Penals. If you play T2, then you are playing Conscripts. And these infantry units rarely play together. Building T2 in which: Maxim sucks, Mortar mediocre, ZiS-3 worst AT with artillery fire. Maxim must support someone, conscripts must support someone. Whom? It's like two drunks - they lean on each other but still can’t do anything together. With T2, the 7th person I still find at least somehow useful. T3 / 4 is useless.

Could simply have it as a 2 building requirement. The extra 160mp for the second building and the delay on the armour might be enough to validate coming earlier.... You could maybe even require medics or something (or tie it TO medics, but only unlocked after 2 buildings meaning you pay a had sum of MP upfront in order to save some later on)
