Don't tell me anything about 1v1, I am mainly playing 4v4 only and this is the only mode that still keep this game alive.

If Vg can throw grenades while attacking frontally that is an issues of VGs and not of the HMG.

Vickers is a High damage HMG to have something unique in its design and the faction, also its really usefull to get model kills rather fast. A vickers is able to clear a building faster than an HMG42.
Finally, please take a moment to play other factions and therefore understand weaknesses and strong points of each unit.
You stand like vickers its trash and its not. It only has a questionable damage/suppression ratio. Still it has good suppression rather others HMGS, like MG34 or .50 cal IIRC

The problem with Vickers is because of its high damage it kills a model before suppression hits in which causes it to reset. And no, MG42 cannot suppress units in green cover if they're positioned correctly either.

It kills the model before the suppress builds and then you have to wait for it to target which takes years in game time.

Negative. Charge an mg42 or even a 34 frontally and throw a grenade at it, won't gel. Vickers, maxim and sometimes the 50 (feels inconsistent) will usually get smoked.

Ill do some test this evening. I csnt believe that works. Im 100% sure that you will get suppressed if you xharge max range (which is greater than the sight range of the mg)

The bonus building range vet ability is bad. It replaces what could otherwise have been a useful veterancy ability. By all means, slap it on anything you fancy.
Terrible veterancy aside, I'm perfectly happy gutting the danage on it. I don't buy a MG for modest DPS when my sections already are the second most expensive T0 infantry. HMGs are suppression tools abd the vickers damage output makes it actively worse at that, which is awful.

Now scrap it and replace with incendiary rounds. Or possibly a "tracer rounds" ability that work as a decent accuracy bonus for supporting units to whatever it's shooting at (kind of like a mark target but only active when shooting)

I think you misunderstood, i meant every squad can frontally charge VICKERS and nade it. Vipper said in earlier post that the problem is with volks, wich is bullshi.

No, just remove bonus range from vickers and give it supression, problem solved.
