And tell me again, how does that matter in context of vetting up with mine sweeper equipped, which was the post about?
Is it safe to assume you are aware that you can not equip both sweeper and flamer at once?

And that is way I order to change Pios MP with Lugar, and upgrade them with K98 if upgraded with Flamer od Minesweeper.

One could replace 1 of WFA engineer with pistol and increase the DPS of the other weapons. The pistol could then be replaced by sweepers so they squad would lose less DPS. The flamer could replace one of the other weapons.

Is it impossibile to just grant veterancy per hp repaired ?

I mean, there was a pay to vet ability so linking veterancy to abilities shouldn't be impossible.

It might be better if XP was rewarded to EFA engineer with sweeper for building things with an actual cost like mines and base buildings.

I am testing Ostheer Pioneers spawning with Lugar of Artillerieofficer, if you upgrade them with flamer or sweeper you get 3k98 (volks stats) + the flamer or sweeper.

So or so Soviet Pios are more cost-effectiv.

Played some games with the 1.8 overwatch commander. Man, i really like it! Can't wait to play the final version with the new veteran requirements for Jaegers. The combination of howie and sector assault will punish emplacement cancer hard too.

I just tried the fragmentation bomb from German Infantry Doctrine. It does very little damage to a Bofors, even if the computer doesn't brace. It looked like it would take something like 6 of these bombing runs to take out a Bofors. For 200 munitions, it seems like it should take between 1/3 and 1/2 of the emplacements health if not braced, and may half of that even if braced. Short of improving that, this commander won't be that useful if playing against UKF in a large team game. The other units/abilites, seem okay. I like being able to heal without retreating to base.

This is slightly off topic, but I tried a couple Ostwinds in the comp stomps that I did. There seems to be something wrong with the AA ability because they often would not fire unless very near the circle marker for P47's. The turret rotation also seems too slow and would not track planes. I'm not sure why, but when one would hit vet 3, it became almost too good and often shot down planes after a single pass (but wasn't watching to see what else was shooting at the planes).

Fragmentation bombs aren't meant to take out fortified defenses. The ability excels at destroying infantry clusters and disorientating the odd tank in the area thanks to how quickly the plane arrives.

Other notes on the behind the scenes build that is in progress and will be sent to Relic:

-221: Arrives after first truck. Armour is going down to 4 from 9 and health from 320 to 240. Build time will be moved to 40 seconds. Upgrading the radio will give you back the old armour and health, but it requires a truck to be deployed into one of the HQs.

-Cavalry Riflemen will need the Grenade Package for smoke.

Dozer, KV-2 and KV-8 are getting +160 health instead of a 0.8 modifer.

-KV-8 45mm reload change reverted; penetration to 140/80/60

-Tommies have their mines removed.

-Valentine available at the start. Requires AEC or Bofors. 60 second build time. Armor to 80/50 from 120/80 (Stuart)

-Anti-Armour Overwatch: Speed doubled from 45 to 90. Radius from 45 to 50. Damage from 160 to 120. (Drive do not stop)

-Concrete Bunkers are automatically made as Repair Bunkers; Manpower to 380

-Grenadier Squad Leader no longer icnreased squad accuracy. G43 rifle now transfers.

-Booby Traps of all kinds now cost 40 and match the Soviet version in damage. Previously they used the demolition charge profile.

-JLI veterancy requirements from 660/1320/2240/3520/4400 to 520/1040/2080/3120/3970; reinforcement time to 6

Is there still time to add better camo (commando/stormtooper) for JLI and/or a better vet1 ability for the SturmTiger (recon flare or smoke shells)?

It's really great to see you guys actively taking these community ideas and feedback and implemtning them! Especially the 221/223 changes should hopefully make it much more usable. JLI veterancy seems much more obtainable but still pretty high, which is good. I'm glad the 0.8 modifier was turned into HP bonus due to repair issues in team games and the G43 being transferable is nice.


The only real feedback regarding the OKW commanders I have left now is to give the Sturmtiger rocket a higher arc / faster velocity or less scatter to fix its collision issues, but that's just QoL improvements. That and the Jagdtiger replacing Overwatch's LeFH18 but I'm gonna assume it's too late for that now.

Ugh, why nerf all booby traps though? If anything they all should've had OKW booby damage profile to justify cost and limits compared to plain normal mines. Heavy damage to one squad does not do much compared to actually killing models mines do.
Would it not be better to just turn booby traps into better AI mines with 3 models kill limit?
I mean these things cost more than mines and are doctrinal/on elite units. Arent they supposed to be *better* than plain mines?

Close penetration is still way to high, it higher than that of PzIV. Keep in mind that a PzIV has to flank a KV-8 to have a decent chance to penetrate the rear/side armor but by doing so it probably also expose it own rear/side armor and the KV-8 will still retain the advantage of penetration chance.

The PzIV should be able to have an advantage if it successfully flanks a KV tank.

And its going to remain like that.
45mm is specifically getting buff to be able to engage something heavier then a halftruck.

Use StuG from max range, not P4 from point blank.
Also, by this time you should already be aware there is no such thing as side armor in coh2, never was and never will be.

Contrary to what you believe, not every single allied tank should be counterable by single P4 behind it, both axis factions have a tank specifically balanced to fight high armor units frontally from range.

The units is extremely fast, has a small size, gets faster with veterancy to makes things even worse both properties can be further buff with warspeed. The Combination with "victor" the ability is simply bad.

Suggestions:
1) Redesigning the unit to be closer to real life valentine as a mini Churchill.

2) Revamp the veterancy bonuses.

3) Make the spotting and victor an upgrade similar to "command tank" and limit to 1 adding penalties if needed.

4) Replace the Croc in tactical commander so that the commanders has a good candidate as command tank.
