I am a fan of Crossroads, but this giant mound has to go FFS. How is this even a thing?

Pls have a look first on the reworked version for gcs2 :)

But yes it is still in and since nobody really complained from the top 1vs1 players. It is not really a problem. And also i guess the mapmaker Whiteflash like the giant mound :P

I guess NorthWest gets green cover early game and the SouthEast gets the "Get out of Jail" free card when your vehicles are weak retreat over the mound so they cant be killed. As witnessed in the GCS2 play this weekend :P

Fair enough.

Although that mound is annoying ( units often missing shots) the biggest problem is this one, often units take that retreat path ( in blue ) instead of taking the safest one ( in green ). If Whiteflash could move some objects so the game calculates the other one to be the shortest it would be nice.

Why you did not tested it on the reworked version? Which in the next gcs2 cups and semi and finals will be.
Did you checked the patchnotes for this map?

Hey Devm thanks for pointing this out, this is the first ive heard of it. I will look into this and make the necessary adjustments. What shotblocker are we talking about? Or is that a part of the pathing (log pile) thanks

EDIT and yea elevation in coh2 is horrid. might flaten the hill.

The shotblocker on the right VP ( the wood piles ), you made some changes to it so maybe it fixed it but it would have to be tested, on the live version they most of the time take that path in front of the wood piles which is more prone to wipes.

Ill look closer at that, and that hill needs to be flatened. I despise the frustration caused by elevation changes in coh2. Will work on that asap and release under Crossroads 1.2.2

One wood pile got already removed so yes, has to be tested.

Edit:
Also when i am not wrong some fences and co go changed to improve the pathing for inf moving to the right side on the cutoffpoint south side

Theres more to it then that one pile.

The map got a bunch of significant changes.

But during tournaments experts are too busy practicing to help test, which is normal. Ill handle it in any case it.

Thanks again Devm

I'll liaise with Andy and see if any changes you make can go in.

I know this isn't ideal, I agree, no need to state that! :P
