This is the soviet one. Practically shits on infantry.

Has anyone else noticed this? I've only played a few games with it and it's been retardedly effective.

Prediction: Strafing run returns

Haven't tried it all I know is that it was shit before patch, little AoE and flying to slow, didn't pin,all units just wen't out of the small AoE and that was it....240 munitions for a Recon Plane
Compared to the German instant pin Strafe it just didn't reflect it's price

It feels very strong now but I've only gotten to use it a few times post patch. On the up side, the new tracking on it makes the ability feel truly bad ass and not just a massively expensive area denial tool; on the down side, there's probably going to be some QQ as it does seem to shred everything it hits. I had a run finish off a stug and 2 grens in one pass earlier.

yea it reminded me of strafing run too. not sure how some people can still claim it sucks. it searches for targets now so aiming is no longer an issue and who needs suppression when you can melt multiple squads at once. just be happy they increased the cooldown. for a while in beta, the cooldown was the length of the loiter. back to back il-2s is not fun.

i never use the german strafe but i think it costs 120 munitions? so i guess it wont be quite as common as strafe. but still could end up being an issue. honestly i raised the point that i thought it might be too strong back in beta, but relic went live with it anyway.

When playing german I found it not weak before patch. If you didn't gtfo, your troops died. Just like other Offmap attacks. Now it's massively stronger?

The Sturmovik was weakpants before the patch. I hope they buffed the shit out of it, because that's what it needed.

Well until this patch, German players really did not have to.

Ostwind is still a good counter to any Soviet plane. Ability is useful now.

Had one munch a Panzerwerfer that had just dodged about 4 T-34 shots and was getting away. It was beautiful.

Very strong ability now. For 240 munis and 6cps, I don't mind too much. Might be nice having some anti-air play against the heavier offmaps now.

Compared to Soviets, who have to get the unwanted and unneeded T3 building, build a half-track, and upgrade it, only to have it blown away by P4s that ignore their T-34s.

Okay, well that was an extreme example, but you get the point.

Let's not forget that The 222 also adds to AA ability.

I just want to say that now with the last patch its juste ammunition waste I have tried lots of time in cheat mode and I never did more than 10 percent of the heart of a stug and did not even killed a lone pionneers squad in 10 attempt. I think it would be Cool if it would pine because for the moment it just lowing Health ability
