Sight Radius for Tank Turret?

When changing the sight stats of a tank it's based on the chassis, so the cone sight radius won't move with the turret but will stay looking forward as the chassis is. How do I change the sight radius to be attached to the turret?

You could try changing the hardpoint the sight is based off of. To do this, go into combat_ext of the ebp and change the sight hardpoint to something other than -1. Most tanks have hardpoint 1 set as the turret, so change it to that for a starting point.

I think the sight hardpoint is something they had in mind in early development and scrapped later on. It doesn't appear to do anything. The idea behind it was probably to attach a LOS cone to the hardpoint, maybe similar to Men of War?

I wonder if it's possible to re-use the mechanics of the IR halftrack. That's a sight functionality bound to a hardpoint. I would like to try this myself, but that has to wait for a few days.

Sorry for the false hope, but the sight definitely isn't related to the weaponscan of the IR halftrack
