Is the Leaderboard code usable for vCoH?

Yes, yes, I know this is CoH2, but we all played CoH1 and some of us still do. We know that CoH1 suffered more from the move to Steam than from the release of CoH2. Is there a chance that the code for the Leaderboard is easily portable to CoH1? After all it isn't about in-game mechanics but about wins/losses/drops and disputes.

That does sound pretty sweet to me. Don't know if its at all possible, or if anyone could be bothered to do it if it was... I would really like to see a 'coh2.org' website which focuses on both games in one way or another rather than just coh2. Seems obvious it would be better and more encompassing for the whole community as a whole.

There's no equivalent API for vCoH stats.

Cool. Someone who sounds like he knows what he is talking about.

The Steam servers certainly are getting win/loss information, and in-game there still seems to be coding relating to drops and disputes. So something is coming out of those games that affect your stats and your rank. If it is coming out, can't it also be ported to something else that uses it?

We don't need the full functionality of the new leaderboards, but adding a bit more than currently exists would be an improvement. Yes, I know won't get something big. What I am wondering is if there is a kernel of use from the current leaderboards taht could be used to make soemthing more of what is currently in Steam.

Also, is there someone at Relic or Valve to who we can report particularly abusive players? I watched MWDutchx play several games in a row with ArmorCompany. They kept getting matched up because of their lofty positions on the leaderboard.

But ArmorCompany didn't play. Literally didn't cap anything. Would always drophack before losing. And in in-game conversations told MWD wo go with it, that they would both level up because of it. MWD was so frustrated because it was IMPOSSIBLE for him to play. So long as ArmorCompany was automatching Wehr to his US the only games he got on Automatch were against AC.

Sorry if this is off topic.

What Inverse is saying is, we don't have access to those stats. We receive the CoH2 ladder stats directly from Relic, not from Steam.

Ah. Ok, then my OP wasn't clear. I was speaking about RELIC creating a limited leaderboard for CoH1 using the code they currently have for CoH2. Whether it gets posted here or not wasn't the question.

That, and some code to recognize a drop hack (has to be possible in at least some situations to recognize it automatically) would help revitalize CoH1. and considering there isn't a lot being invested in CoH1, any sales of it, and there still are some, would be gravy.

There are already leaderboards for vCoH, it wouldn't make much sense for Relic to invest time into redoing what they've already done. And drophacking in vCoH is essentially a non-issue these days since legitimate players' trust ratings are so high. I can't remember the last time I got a loss from a drophack in vCoH.

Inverse, I think things have changed and you haven't realized it.

It doesn't seem they record disputes anymore. And every time someone DH's both players get a win. That is why there are guys on there with multiple hundred game win streaks. And they level up because wins, even against lowly players, count some, but they don't take a loss.

I think that we should say to developers, that they should return CoH - rank system. I even register on this forum and was created theme about this (http://www.coh2.org/topic/7193/coh2-ladders/page/1#post_id69683).
