On my laptops i have a i7 3630QM(2,4ghz to 3,2ghz with turbo)and a 680GTXm.

I saw that when bliz come out ( and sometimes random factor), my cpu is 1,1ghz (instead of 3,2)with a gpu load 25/100 (instead of 50/100) that make my fps decrease from 40 to 25, then clock go back to 3,2 ...

each time i see fps drop is because of decrease cpu load and gpu.

did you guys got same issue on laptops ?

Change your power profile in windows to Performance. If that doesnt stop it from downclocking to into your bios and disable C1E, C states, EIST, or anything else power saving.

well, i didn't mentioned that the fps drop seems concern only coh2 (processor never go down 2,4ghz, it's usually around 2,8ghz and 3,2ghz if i lunch game).

My settings for coh 2 was already done to get high power.

Your processor jumping around in clockspeed will definitely cause it. You need to stop it and force it to stay at 100% clockspeed or you'll see things like this. Laptops are made to take battery drain into account so its constantly trying to drop power usage and that can cause fps drops in games.

I could fix drop by cancel the turbo boost of the cpu so the speed stay at 2,4 ghz with full load. So the average perf are worse but no huge drop by time.

is it possible to keep the turbo boost of the processor at max during game ?

It may also throttle the CPU because of too much heat. Try cleaning the laptop.

my laptops is new, the temp of cpu was at max 80°C. When i use Prime95 to puh the processsor, clock go at 3,2ghz with no drop and no heavy heat.

I installed "Throttlestop" version 5.00 and when i uncheck "BD PROCHOT", th drop problem seems disappear.

Sad that i have to use a software to fix that

ok it seems that gpu temp was too high (90°C), that's why cpu clock decreased sometimes. and the "BD PROCHOT" is a security, if gpus is too high, it will decrease the clock of the cpu.

It solves thanks :)
