If they did they would care more about the game itself, I think it's SEGA and $, Relic just sold it's soul to it after THQ's departure.


You realize, without SEGA there would be no Relic? Relic was dead after THQ died. SEGA just saved them. What are you even going on about?

Sega bought them, like every deal with the devil, relic has lost its soul at the end.

The only thing SEGA saved was CoH2 and look what it turned out to be in the end, even 5 years later of development and balancing.

Relic could have probably eaten the bullet and go indie but CoH2 wasn't finished yet and maybe they were too used to having a publisher.

Then again it was probably not their choice since they didn't have any, they were sold off to pay the bank/country back but I'm just speculating here what could have happened if they had the choice.

A game developed for microsoft and developed for microsoft in the past that coincides with their own online distribution environment in need of consentive to use it.

Further more, other purely microsoft releases were windows store only.

That's a fan assumption, not a confirmed "fact". Based on current trends this looks like a Win10 store/steam cross-play title. There is a "new" MS executive gaming boss in town and he is a big fan of crossplay (such as Win store/steam).
Phil Spencer recently got a big promotion. TBH, I trust Phil way more than Relic top leadership.

Recent news is Killer Instinct is coming to Steam (owned by MS). Killer Instinct is win10/xbox. The studio (Rare) and IP are owned by Microsoft.

For those that do not understand what this means. Phil Spencer is now considered to be the top gaming executive in MS and all the other executives will listen to him including the CEO (not the other way around). The CEO is just a business executive that is taking advice from each division leaders.
That the MS CEO want Phil Spencer as his personal gaming adviser is a huge vote of confidence is Spencer's leadership abilities and vision for MS gaming.

The thing which still baffles me the most:
In my opinion CoH2 is the only game of the last few years which i would call remotely next-gen.

You need to broaden your horizons.
